  • Seriously Brendan, you were so cute when you were a baby. *cough*and so hot now*cough*

And by all means, Steph is dying to see pics of your brother.

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 11:30 AM

  • Oh,goodness gracious! Adorable, just adorable. Mrs.H,thanks for taking so many great pics. Michelle,I agree, that third pic is incredible. I have a great appreciation for photography too. I'm not much of one but I'm the person at B&N looking through the photo books. Now I know Bren had no choice but to love the water. Looks like the whole family does. They must have spent alot of time in or around it. I wonder when Bren first started swimming. Anybody know?

By Blogger blairbecky, at 12/15/2004 11:34 AM

  • Pumpkin is just adorable in the first one. Does he ever not smile? That's the best part about him...he always seems so happy! What guy wouldn't be happy with millions of girls drooling over him and calling him cute little nick-names! LOL! I need to wait till I am done with finals to check back here. I have a feeling all I'll be able to think about in French is how cute baby Bren-Bear is!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 12/15/2004 11:38 AM

  • alright, i want to know who in the family has the eye for photography because some of these pictures are just wonderfully shot. i have to agree with michelle in my appreciation of that last one. knee boarding! (or whatever its called) i tried it once and my friends and i completely sucked at it. i, for some reason, couldt learn how to stay on the board. :
and that fist picturre is simply adorable. b-han was cute as a button!

By Blogger Sarah, at 12/15/2004 11:55 AM

  • I love them all, especially #1 and #3. #3 looks like it should be in the Kodak museum or something. It's a beautiful picture.

Lena - I can never log on here without you making me laugh. I hope you are better really soon. You need to get nice and healthy. (And yes, yes I need a pic of Sean, especially since swimphilly78 says he really is Hottie McCutie! Oh, I meant to say, we WE need Sean pics, not just me! HAHA!)

For now I am very happy with the adorable Handsome pics! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/15/2004 11:57 AM

  • Gorgeous pics as always. I especially like the third one... just beautifully shot.

I think it's now firmly been established that Brendan is the cutest kid... ever.

By Blogger afadingvoice, at 12/15/2004 12:00 PM

  • That third one is an amazing art shot. Whoever the photog is, you done good!

So is Bren Bear getting tired of us squeeing over him as an adorable child? He looks too adorable in all of the ones we've seen, which means he must have been heck on wheels (or fins in this case). He can't be that perfect? There must some good stories out there, somewhere.....

By Blogger JHD, at 12/15/2004 12:04 PM

  • This post has been removed by a blog administrator.

By Blogger AimsRos, at 12/15/2004 12:42 PM

  • This is another great group of pictures! What are we going to do when they run out?

Actually, I’d love to hear all of Bren Bear’s friends giving him a hard time...because you know they’re giving him a hard time!

Also, I’m sure Aunts C & K can give us some goods on Brendan... Aunts are always privy to that sort of info. Brendan can’t have always been an angel child, can he?

By Blogger AimsRos, at 12/15/2004 12:54 PM

  • Thanks, Steph, I'll be here all week. 10 days, precisely. I have to rest for 10 days.
Luckily, the intramuscular medication, while painful, it's very effective. My dad is picking me up in 4 hours to go get the other one.

Pumpkin, you do look good. And if your friends tease you too much, tell them to deal with us. I still have my bow and I'm never to sick to use it to defend you.
And good luck with the clinic on Monday, is really great what you do in there.

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 1:11 PM

  • Oh Lena I really hope that you get better soon. Can't be contagious when you finally meet Bren-Bear!

Topic? I love the pics and I really like that the family is willing to share with us. Very cool Hansen family. Very cool.

By Blogger Dana, at 12/15/2004 1:25 PM

  • Dana, I'm working on it. I've been working on it since a month, I just got really bad luck.
    But I'm gonna make it.

The pics are so adorable, especially the first... those curls...

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 1:37 PM

  • Since no one is giving any love to pic #2, I will. Kind of. What is that Bren is on? I'd say a surfboard, but I've never seen anyone who surfs wear a life jacket.

By Blogger JHD, at 12/15/2004 2:07 PM

  • I love picture #2 because he looks so happy in it, but as someone else already commented, he looks like he had a pretty happy childhood. He's got a huge smile on his face in most of the pictures, and not the fake "gotta smile for the camera" kind either.

By Blogger Michelle, at 12/15/2004 2:22 PM

  • Brendan is wakeboarding in picture #2! And, speaking from personal experience, (yes, JHD, PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!) it's hard. Although, we always started in the water and had to pull ourselves up to that position. It's like waterskiing, except on something like a surfboard, and you are on you're knees. Fun times!

By Blogger AimsRos, at 12/15/2004 2:46 PM

  • You all are an absolute riot. If this is characteristic of the women of South America, you all make us NYC/Princeton/Villanova/Lafayette girls seem unbelievably boring in comparison, ha.

I do agree that it's time for a cute childhood story. My mother loves the one where I decided to go shopping at Burlington Coat Factory by myself, without telling her, and I ditched her in the store ... I was age 3, past due time for a girl to be on her own in the world, I thought ... I fell asleep underneath a rack of fur coats. The New Jersey State Police were not amused. They picked up the rack, there I was, curled into a little blonde ball, hibernating. I doubt I was even half as impetuous as these two boys, so their stories are probably at least doubly good.

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 12/15/2004 2:58 PM

  • Pic #2 reminds me of when I was little, we lived on the beach and everyday during the summer we would go out wakeboarding and swimming...and now I look outside and see snow flurries! Well at least I got to see these fab pics of Bren! Thanks Michelle and Hansen Family!!

By Blogger LongHornLove, at 12/15/2004 2:59 PM

  • I forgot to thank michelle, what a cool site! It must be a ton of work - mega props to you and everyone who helps out!

the nueve de oro cookies are amazing...little peices of heaven.

and another yes to stephmc, blairbecky and others, sean is defo hottie mccutie - did I get it right? ha too funny
I will see if its okay w/McCutie to send a pic or two of along...

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 12/15/2004 3:40 PM

  • Yay! So many new people posting this week. Welcome to the blog Swimphilly. Dana Cara, are you new too or the Dana who's been posting anonymously up until now?

By Blogger Michelle, at 12/15/2004 3:45 PM

  • swimphilly78 - You got it right. Actually, I think I called him Cutie McHottie first, but then later called him Hottie McCutie. Either way, we know who you're talkin' about! =) Yippee for possible pics! (With permission of course)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/15/2004 4:22 PM

  • Dana Cara, thanks for the lovely compliment. We, Latin American Girls (alhough I think that besides Maria I'm the only one posting) are sure ones of a kind. Something in the water, I believe.

And I'm back from intramuscular shot number 2. The nurse told "Try to relax, think of something nice..." And I was like "Hot Swimmers? The Texas Trio? Pumpkin?" and she was like "UH?" So, I educated her... my job never finishes.
It was not taht painful, I'm thankful for that

And Sean, if you're reading this. Steph is dying in here... you cannot deny her (and us) a pic of you. Come on, I'm sick in here... do your good deed of the day, would ya?

A pick and maybe a post... we wanna know about you

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 5:20 PM

  • swimphilly, you need to teach Brendan and Sean the wonders of mate. I'm sure they're gonna like it. And also good futbol. What was your flavor? Rosario Centra? Newell's?

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 5:47 PM

  • here is how addicting this site is, I am at a xmas tree decorating party as I type this(hopefully I spell correctly I have had a few glasses of wine) but I had to put down the candy cane box and jump online! Aunt K got me hooked!
Lena -I actually didnt have a fav flavor of mate- but I remember I was laughed at for how much sugar I would stir in!
And I have no doubt handsome harry will oblige , at least w/one pic. if not, no cookies!
    cheers! ;)

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 12/15/2004 6:33 PM

  • and lena - I didnt like Rosario teams too much, I think I was mostly cheering for Boca Jr's... i think you meant futbol "flavors" not mate flavors... no more wine for me!
    ;)

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 12/15/2004 6:35 PM

  • All this talk of Sean is making me restless!..i hope we do get to see some pictures of him. Swimphilly you are a friend of the family?! You cant hold back on all of the details! haha. Its awesome to get info on Bren Bear.
on the subject of wakeboarding. ive heard it is hard. of course ive never done it before so i couldnt tell you.

By Blogger jenny, at 12/15/2004 6:36 PM

  • swimphilly78- I agree, this site does become addicting!

By Blogger LongHornLove, at 12/15/2004 7:17 PM

  • These are really nice pictures. Thank you to Mrs. Hansen for being so kind and generous.

I've tried the wakeboard and kneeboard (and I sucked really badly at both), so I prefer to be the one on the WaveRunner pulling the wakeboard. I'm more likely to drive really fast and jump big waves than do the trick stuff.

By Blogger BeachGirl, at 12/15/2004 7:47 PM

  • Yes! A Boca fan! I've been rambling about Boca in here for a while now. See, Brendan, listen to your friend, she knows good futbol!
And mate... I used to have it with sugar, now i turned to the complete argentinean behavior: no sugar

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 8:13 PM

  • This is how addicting this site is...I am going to be "living in a van down by the river," because instead of studying for french..i was on this site! Needless to say I received my test and about vomited all over! If only there were questions on how cute Bren-Bear was as a child, I could have aced it! So hopefully Michelle or **SOMEONE*** wink wink cough cough super cute swimmer cough cough (I think I got Lena's cold) will take me in when I fail out of college! Yes! Ha Ha! Finals have really gotten to my brain. I did study by the way.....just not enough!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 12/15/2004 8:41 PM

  • P.S.

Swimphilly78, can you pass me the wine? I think I need it to get me through tonights cram session! Although after my last post, I'm sure everyone thinks I have been hitting the bottle already! LOL!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 12/15/2004 8:44 PM

  • This site *is* addicting! I have to make it the reward for me for studying during the day or I'd be here the entire day and thus, I would fail my finals, which would not be good my final semester of actual classes in college!

That third picture---wow. I wish I could take pictures like that; whenever I attempt artistic ones they come out blurry or off center or something.

    By Blogger lizook12, at 12/15/2004 9:25 PM

  • And Sean, if you're reading this. Steph is dying in here... you cannot deny her (and us) a pic of you.I need an innocent victim arrow pointed at my user name for this! HAHA! Yes, yes you can blame me but if/when we get a pic/post you'll be thanking me! ;)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/15/2004 9:40 PM

  • Oh, and all of you studying for finals (I don't miss those days!) Mt. Dew and Jolt work wonders. Don't drink wine until after finals are over, it'll just make you sleepy! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/15/2004 9:41 PM

  • Steph, I'm trying to get you (and us) a pic of Sean. Don't go ruin my strategies!

For the ones at finals: chocolate and caffeine.

By Blogger Lena, at 12/15/2004 9:54 PM

  • WOOHOO, I'm officially done with finals and done with college! I just had a sucky final, and coming here and seeing today's pics definitely made me feel better. The last pic is especially gorgeous! :)

By Blogger Janine, at 12/15/2004 10:40 PM

  • Ladies...relax....it is Aunt K to the rescue...a pic of Sean should be received by our host...when and if she decides to post it is entirely up to her...I merely supplied the info....and it is Mom approved. The rest is in Michelle's capable hands....And SwimPhilly, you definitely had too much wine...please don't tease these ladies about my nephew/nephews they have finals to take....first priority is school...then they can drool...

Michelle, make sure grades are there prior to posting the pics I sent...

By Blogger Aunt K, at 12/15/2004 11:01 PM

  • Aunt K- I adore you! One you make me laugh, and two, you supplied Sean pics....I can't wait! Oh and I am mailing in two of my toddler pics to Michelle...hehe

By Blogger LongHornLove, at 12/15/2004 11:10 PM

  • Yeeeehaw! Not only do I get to see Sean first, I then get to torture and tease you all with the picture. Should I post it quickly...should I wait a week or two...Thanks Aunt K!

    :evillelaugh:

By Blogger Michelle, at 12/15/2004 11:17 PM

  • Ahh Michelle how you do torture us....but only for a little while...then you reward us...so I love ya!!! I once had a fortune cookie that said.." Anticipation makes the pleasure"....;)

By Blogger LongHornLove, at 12/15/2004 11:50 PM

  • Hey Aunt K I rocked my political science final...do i get anything special for that? lol! Just the satisfaction of knowing that I survived the class? Aunt C is going to have to do something spectacular to get an edge on Aunt K!!! Hehehe, (my devilish way of creating competition where the only true winners would be us lucky fan-girls!!!!) So I don't know how much of this post makes sense, I just finished reading Sigmund freud and you know what he does to the brain.....he was a sick man! Now I just have Kafka, Mann, and Joyce left to read. Wish me luck!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 12/16/2004 12:24 AM

  • Michell have I ever told you just how wonderful you are. Really,I mean I think you are the best person I've ever came across. (This is not sucking up to see pic of Sean first, really it isn't...lol) No really,I can wait. Really,I can. Stephie deserves to see it first since she has been the most dedicated to Henry Hormone. I knew the family would come through for us poor girls. *Giggles like a little girl* More pictures...yay!

By Blogger blairbecky, at 12/16/2004 1:17 AM

  • Aunt K, thanks for the lovely info. I'm glad Sean decided to come out of the shadows and step into the light.
Michelle, I graduated with honors in Sociology and I aced my Italian and Dutch tests... do I need to send you the transcripts or you'd believe me?

I'm back from shot number 3.This one hurt a little more. Let's jus say, I'm sitting on a pile of pillows. But still not complaining... I'm feeling much much better. Pumpkin posted, we're gonna see Sean (btw, let's get a Dr. for Steph, she's gonna faint), Brendan is eventually going to show us the tattoo (I still believe one day he will).

    Well, off to some rest.

By Blogger Lena, at 12/16/2004 5:46 AM

  • I told ya Stephmc, didnt mean to tease, but Aunt K always comes thru! and she is right, way too much wine! new screename=Henrietta Hangover!
Kimberly -van down by the river- that was hilarious!!
and to all the ladies w/ finals, good luck!
michelle this site will allow me to keep my sanity this holiday season, thank you! time to put down the wine and shop! or maybe I should keep the wine with me, but I dont think Target allows that...
Che Lena - Viva Boca para siempre!
    ;)

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 12/16/2004 7:28 AM

  • "Che Lena - Viva Boca para siempre!"

    Somos la mitad mas uno
    somos el pueblo del Carnaval
Boca, te llevo en el alma
y cada dia te quiero mas

Thanks so much, girl! That lighten up my day... You know, watching Boca play in La Bombonera is one fo the best things ever. And I did... against River, with Maradona.
Good luck with the shopping. I gotta go see the doctor again to see how I'm going. I'm sitting over a pile of pillows, but I'm ok.

By Blogger Lena, at 12/16/2004 8:51 AM

  • I had no doubt that one of the family members would come through with a pic of Sean for us all to adore. =)

Now, does anyone know how This Thing works? We should have one on hand just in case.

    LOL! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/16/2004 10:39 AM

  • Lmao...Stephie,I'll read up on it,okay? Now if we both go into cardiac arrest I don't know what we will do.

By Blogger blairbecky, at 12/16/2004 11:09 AM

  • LOL Stephie. That cracked me up.

By Blogger Michelle, at 12/16/2004 11:12 AM

  • Michelle and blairbecky - It just seems like something we, as a group, need to have on hand just in case. =)

I think Katie Hoff actually has something like that when she swims, just in case. So for meets at least, we know there is someone who can save us if need be.

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/16/2004 12:04 PM

  • hah not to worry steph! i'm AED trained..i know how how to work it if you need me too! it was part of the lifeguard training :P
