Oy is just Yo backwards - A few links....

It really pays to check out Scott Goldblatt's Blog from time to time. This is the funniest Holiday song I've ever heard. Thank you Scott and Colleen! (If you're bored home alone Scott you could always come over to BHO and hang with us. We've got to be better than red jello.)

This article really only mentions Brendan's name but thought some might like to read it anyway. Of course the author and I are in total disagreement. I think Brendan should be in the top 5 at the very least, if not numero uno. But that's just me. Smarty who?

Brendan's 200 m from 2000 Trials at Texas-Trio.com - He looks so young, and yet so hot. It's confusing for an old woman like me.

A souvenir pin for the Brendan Hansen Fan in your life. Would make a nice stocking stuffer.

  • That top 10 is a tough one for me because I have a local bias. I'd probably knock Joe Banner out of there because really, how hard can it be to sign good players when you already have 1) a ton of money 2) a good team and 3) a brand new stadium? I <3 my Iggles but I'll knock out Joe to get B-Money in there.

  • I've been sent that song a few times, it's great!
There's also a "video" that goes with it:

  • HAHAHA! I haven't visited Scott's blog in awhile but he's the coolest. (Other than Brendan of course) That song cracked me up! =)

  • BWAHAHAHA JHD. Thanks for the link. That was hilarious.

  • That song (and vid) are great. My coworker busted it out at work a while ago and we all hovered around her computer and watched. Very funny.

Scott's blog is another one that i frequent. It's fun.

  • I like how attuned Scott is to charity, it was my pleasure to donate to the Special Olympics when he had that up, I also know that melanoma research is a focus of his ... that's using his image in a classy way.

  • He is a great guy as far as I can tell and I love his site. Maybe if someone ran over and told him about this site he would come post. Wait a sec, would Bren want all of the swimmers to know we have a ton of baby pics of him...lol. Hmmmm...have to think about that one.

  • Poor Pumpkin is alrady being teased by his family, close friends and I'm sure Aaron and Ian are not keeping their mouth shouts either. Let's try Bren Bear some rest then...

Besides, although Scott is wonderful, I'd rather have Brendan posting more often
(although Scott, if you ever read this, thank you very much for that pic of the Trio at the end of golden googles)

  • Do you think that Bren even shares the existance of this blog with the rest of the Texas-Trio?

By Blogger Dana, at 12/16/2004 9:15 AM

  • I think he does. I think he, Aaron and Ian gather together with tea and read this and comment how wonderful we are.
    Of course
    - I live in DenialVille
    - I've been taking medication for the past month

  • I'm sure they know. Something along the lines of, "See, my fans are WAY cooler than yours. Now if I can just get them off this wanting to meet my brother kick..." =)

  • "I'm sure they know. Something along the lines of, "See, my fans are WAY cooler than yours. Now if I can just get them off this wanting to meet my brother kick..." =)"

I resemble that remark. OUCH! JHD, you've wounded me! HAHA!

Handsome knows he's my number one! ;)No contest.I'm sure I am going to adore Sean, but Brendan is always going to be special. =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 12/16/2004 10:07 AM

  • that was hilarious.
But Aaron, there's people here that has a site for you. You can go play there! It can be a wonderful experience. Take Exhibit A, this place. It's SICK :)

By Blogger Lena, at 12/16/2004 10:16 AM

  • Oh,Stephie,we know you love Bren but I'm sure your heart is big enough for two hot guys. I'm pretty sure mine is...lol. I have doubts that Bren is showing this to too many of the guys. From then on he would be known not as Brendan Hansen but pumpkin, bren bear, handsome, etc. Even though no matter what you do you are sometimes always known by childhood knicknames. Thus my user name which will be what I'm called for the rest of my life. I was also known as Hollywood for a long time because of these heart shaped glasses I always wore as a child. Good thing that got dropped. Anyone else have knicknames that stuck? Anyway,I do agree we seem to be the coolest fans a incredible swimmer could have.

  • I'm more inclined to believe that he might tell them about it in passing like "Well, yeah, there's this site...". But somehow I doubt that he's like,"Hey dudes come check out my blog." Because that would give them too much ammunition for embarrassment. However, if they do know and they are lurking well...come out and play boys!

By Blogger Dana, at 12/16/2004 10:50 AM

  • "I resemble that remark. OUCH! JHD, you've wounded me! HAHA!"

    I kid because I care.

(or maybe I want to distract you from Sean so I can steal him away from you, Steph! ;)

  • Did y'all see over on Texas-trio the slow motion version of the dolphin kick. It got me all fired up again...lol. Sure wish I could have been there to hug Bren to make him feel better. You might have had to pry me off but the intentions would have been good. :p

By Blogger blairbecky, at 12/16/2004 11:06 AM

  • BAH! lala talked me into bidding on the souvenir pin and now I've got to figure out what to do with it.

By Blogger Michelle, at 12/16/2004 11:18 AM

  • But wait, Michelle- it's not a pin... it's one of those enamel charms, with the two slots on the back that you can thread a bracelet through. You can buy those bracelets a lot of places- I'm sure there are hundreds on Ebay. Then, you can carry Brendan around with you every day (on your wrist).

    By Blogger Texas-Gal, at 12/16/2004 11:26 AM

  • Hold on, you're telling me now I have to buy a bracelet too? I think instead I'm going to hang it on the emergency release cord of my treadmill. Then Brendan can inspire me to walk one more mile when I'm getting really bored and ready to stop after just 2 or 3.

  • Hey Everyone-
Any news yet on the FINA World Championships and their potential move to Long Beach? I thought that the Canadians had until last Tuesday to come up with some additional money, but have not found anything on this.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12/16/2004 2:56 PM

  • I haven't heard anything about it. If they move it to Long Beach I hope they improve the facilities. I don't know if Megan will be willing to walk me up and down the bleachers no matter how many hoodies I offer.
