New Poll and more

Please check out the new poll in the sidebar. It's such a tough one, I really should have put an "All of the Above" option...
but I didn't.

Poll results from Favorite Innocent Victim poll:
Aunt C kicked some fish bootie! I don't really remember which pictures were one and two. I should really have checked that before replacing it with the new poll.

Bird? 1
Deer? 3
Aunt C 59
Fish 23

86 votes total

And finally - I know it's long overdue but lala wanted her's to be a Christmas surprise so I'm just now getting around to posting what the winners of our Thanksgiving Essay contest received from Brendan for their participation (in order of finish).
Janine
Lena
Duong Vu (tie!)
Stephie Mc(tie!)
lala
Mine!

Shame on you people who voted for me to keep the prizes for myself! (check is in the mail ;)

Do I have to answer that question, Pumpkin? (battes eyelashes)

I guess you'd find out on our Valentine's Day Special...

Off Topic: my former club used to have a Valentine's Day Archery Tournament. I won it once and got second place the other. FYI.

  • Those were very cool prizes. Congrats y'all!

Although I half expected Steph's to be autographed by Sean instead! ;)

  • Brendan, Mrs H, and Brendan, Thank you all so much for the swimcap!! I love it so much, I am the Lauren who got that amazing cap!! Bren, you really are good to us! Thank you again!! When I went to Swimming With the Stars there was a guy who was throwing caps off the bus to those of us that were standing out there. One girl got a cap that said Krayzelberg the other got a Crockah. I caught one and decided I would wait to open the bag until later. The girls were all "Who did you get?? " I said, "I hope Crockah!!" I opened it.. and is just said USA and Speedo. No name at all. They all laughed and then said "Ahhhhh Poor Lala!" So I am really very happy to have this. Thank you everyone! My one consolation is that the caps the other girls got were still bagged and were surplus. My Toiger cap is a gift from him!

  • Hello all!...I know it has been a while since my last post, but I have been checking the blog off and on throughout the holiday....just too busy to throw in my two cents in a well thought out manner.

First..glad to hear all had a great holiday...

Second...Happy New Year...May Brendan kick some serious Cheatajima butt this summer...

And lastly...Thank you! Thank you! Thank you...to all of you who took the time to peruse the "innocent victim" photos and vote for me. I am deeply touched and honored to have been selected over the dead carcasses of a deer and pheasant, and over the slithery, slimy bass fighting for its last breath. I have won a few competitions in my day...I won't elaborate. But none has meant so much to me. Was I tempted to utilize the "delete cookies-refresh-vote" tecnique for my benefit? Slightly, I'll admit...but I'm no Cheatajima. I let the people speak...and you pulled through for me. I am grateful for your support and will bear this honor with my head held high...

By Blogger Aunt "C", at 1/03/2005 8:58 PM

  • yay for nice people! :) It is crazyness to me that you guys actually-semi-kinda know Brendan and his family. Lucky chicks who got the caps!

By Blogger Danielle, at 1/03/2005 9:38 PM

  • Aggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! I am so insanely jealous of the winners!!!! But, I have no one to blame but myself. Hopefully, there will be future contests and Brendan will indulge us again with some equally awesome prizes. Congrats to all, and take good care of those prizes!

LOL! Oh my goodness! I am in neeed of the community defibrillator! Aunt C I missed your posts! I am glad to see you back! You are a gem! LOL!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 1/03/2005 9:42 PM

  • Darn my lazy hide! If I had just entered I might have gotten a little gift too. *Wipes away tear* Good to hear from you Aunt C. I don't think the dead animals had a chance...lol.

Lena,I believe your future husband is flirting with you. Gosh,he is just so cute.

I also just found out Rascal Flatts are coming to town. Yay!!! I love those guys. I've been wanting to see them for awhile now.

By Blogger blairbecky, at 1/03/2005 9:45 PM

  • Aunt C, it was the least I could do, you being that one that so kindly let me know that Brendan was not dating Kaitlin after that awful article. You came to my rescue...

By Blogger Lena, at 1/03/2005 9:48 PM

  • Aunt C, glad to see you posting again. Don't stay away too long this time. ;) I'm glad to know we could make you feel all warm and squishy for voting you #1 innocent victim. Like there was even a choice?

By Blogger afadingvoice, at 1/03/2005 9:53 PM

  • Aunt C - I just can't imagine why anyone voted for the fish! I'm glad to see you posting again and hope you had a great holiday.

By Blogger Michelle, at 1/03/2005 9:55 PM

  • I have my own little poll for ya'll (can I use that word if I live in Indiana?)..what is your favorite BHO'ism? Like the pictures with "innocent victim" and talks of Lena hunting me down with her bow! I have a very secret plan...insert evil laugh...and I'm in need of feedback!!!! Does this make sense to anyone? I am babysitting my nephew and watching veggie tales..the brain does not work at full capacity while veggie tales is on!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 1/03/2005 9:56 PM

  • Okay, that's it. I've decided to delurk.

I have been visiting this site for awhile, actually for a couple of months now. I would like to say that it is always good for a laugh, and that you all are extremely friendly.

I first became aware of Brendan during the Olympics, when my first grade class wanted to write him fan letters. (One of the girls helpfully supplied that he was "dreamy.") I agreed, thinking that it would blow over.

    But it so didn't.

I forgot about their seemingly brief obsession with swimming, but they didn't. They informed me about the Worlds in October, and that they wanted more information. So, we got on the internet and found this site.

While I wouldn't let them read the blog in class, I started to drop in whenever I had time. Now, I look forward to it.

What made me decide to delurk? The fact that after all these months, my little six year olds are still talking about him.

I'm very glad to be here, although I am a little scared about posting for the first time!

By Blogger Autumn, at 1/03/2005 10:01 PM

  • welcome autumn! that is so cute your little ones love pumpkin! i wish i had a cool teacher who encouraged my brendan love....but no my professor just threatens to kick me out of class for coming here during class! it's good you decided to de-lurk.

ps. don't yell at me for my lack of capitalizing. i am to lazy!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 1/03/2005 10:06 PM

  • Well, nice to hear from ya Aunt C. and I too am jealous of the winners but it is my fault for not entering. anyway, congrats to the winners.

By Blogger afadingvoice, at 1/03/2005 10:11 PM

  • Kimberly,

I must confess that I didn't encourage it at first...but now that I've seen what a great (not to mention hot) role model Brendan is, I totally encourage it.

p.s. Don't worry about not capitalizing...I teach first grade, I'm lucky if they can write at all.

By Blogger Autumn, at 1/03/2005 10:12 PM

  • Autumn- I just came out of the shadows and posted for the first time last night. I *think* it's safe here.

By Blogger Kat, at 1/03/2005 10:16 PM

  • Good manip Kat

Autumn, welcome. Is nice to teach kids the value of sports and dedication while young.

Kimberly, we have a thread with the best BHO moments. We did it for John Lohn.
And for the record, I only aimed at you once. My bow was mostly devoted to get Bren's 20 questions...

    And maybe playing some cupid...

By Blogger Lena, at 1/03/2005 10:19 PM

  • "I let the people speak...and you pulled through for me. I am grateful for your support and will bear this honor with my head held high..."

LOL! Nice acceptance speech Aunt C; voting was the least I could do for all the information you've given us!

Also, a warm welcome to Autumn.

    By Blogger lizook12, at 1/03/2005 10:22 PM

  • Gracias, Lena. Estoy muy alegre usted tuve gusto mi foto.

Autumn- if it's any consolation, my mom's third graders (especially the girls) are in love with the Sergeant they adopted while he was in Baghdad (who happens to be my best guy friend who I have been in love with for three years...). He comes home this week after a year!

By Blogger Kat, at 1/03/2005 10:29 PM

  • Thanks for the Spanish, Kat.

And Aunt C, that was a great speach. Oscar material

By Blogger Lena, at 1/03/2005 10:33 PM

  • Kat,

Wow! I'm very happy that your friend gets to come home. I'm sure that you are very excited.

Everyone: Thanks for such a great welcome!

By Blogger Autumn, at 1/03/2005 10:36 PM

  • Heh, Lena, I better use some Spanish...or else the degree and the four months I spent in Spain last year would be useless.

Thanks, all, I'm glad he's coming home, too.

By Blogger Kat, at 1/03/2005 10:40 PM

  • Autumn, welcome and dont be shy. i was nervous posting my first time as well. But i warn you. it gets addicting. i think i check up on the site about 30 times a day and i get distracted if i am somewhere where there is no internet. is that sad? haha. thats ok. im not ashamed to admit it.

oh and thats really great your class has an interest in swimming and Bren especially.
How did they come to focus on just Brendan? I mean he isss dreamy and the best breaststroker ever but ya know. for 1st graders its impressive.

By Blogger jenny, at 1/03/2005 10:41 PM

  • Dude, I'm already addicted, and I've been doing this for like an hour.

I have no idea why they picked Brendan. Maybe because it's an all girls school. When I asked them about other swimmers, I was informed that Ian Crocker and Aaron Peirsol were okay, but that Michael Phelps had big ears and (this is my fave) "you can almost see his butt crack.)

Ah, to be observant and six again.

By Blogger Autumn, at 1/03/2005 10:51 PM

  • "you can almost see his butt crack"

LOL! That is a bad thing? Wow..I guess I am to busy focusing on the rings.......guh!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 1/03/2005 10:54 PM

  • How could anyone NOT love Brendan? I'm glad to hear that your 1st graders have such discerning taste in swimmers. And I totally agree with them, you totally CAN almost see Phelps buttcrack..who needs THAT?

By Blogger Michelle, at 1/03/2005 10:54 PM

  • I can tell Kim and I are both ardent supporters of the buttcrack.

By Blogger Kat, at 1/03/2005 11:02 PM

  • They were very concerned about it. In the fall, we took a walking trip to the U of TN campus (right up the street) and got to tour the aquatic center. Some of the swimmers came out to talk to them, and when the Q and A session came up, the first question was..."When you swim, do you pull up your pants, or can everyone see your butt crack like Michael Phelps?" And while they were all fumbling for answers, another one says "He *definitely* needs to pull up his pants." And then the whole class nods in agreement.

By Blogger Autumn, at 1/03/2005 11:05 PM

  • see..I am petitioning my congressman to issue a decree that phelps can only ever wear his jammers (slung low) and nothing else..ever! I think I have a few supporters!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 1/03/2005 11:09 PM

  • that's the funniest thing ever! But yea i agree with Michelle about how can someone not like Pumkin. I would have loved to see the look on the U of TN swimmers' faces.
I cant decide Kat if im a fan of the buttcrack or not..it sounds so weird to be talking about this

By Blogger jenny, at 1/03/2005 11:12 PM

  • I'm with you jenny, given that I can only think of Phelps as a brother... (ok, an annoying brother)... that is too weird

By Blogger Lena, at 1/03/2005 11:15 PM

  • 'I am petitioning my congressman to issue a decree that phelps can only ever wear his jammers (slung low) and nothing else..ever! I think I have a few supporters!'

*ooh, ooh!* I SUPPORT YOU :)

By Blogger Danielle, at 1/03/2005 11:28 PM

  • Just wanted to say thank you so much Brendan and Mrs. H for the swim cap!! I was beyond excited when Michelle first told me about it--I've never gotten anything like this before! I can't wait to see and hold the real thing. It's definitely the best Christmas present I got this year! Thanks again, and thanks to Michelle for doing the contest!

By Blogger Janine, at 1/03/2005 11:31 PM

  • Those girls have the right idea. Though, as Michelle said, how could you NOT like Bren bear?!

Also, concening Phelps, I have to jump in and echo MIchelle and the students; that's a little TOO much exposure...

    By Blogger lizook12, at 1/03/2005 11:57 PM

  • Welcome to the newcomers, yay for delurkers!

Aw, what great prizes Michelle and Brendan! And he personalized them all, too cute. The more we read, the more we love. And Aunt C, very nice acceptance speech, I am applauding here at my computer.

  • Autumn, Welcome! I am so glad you posted. I hope that "pumkin" reads today because I know it will really thrill him that your class is so into him. What an amazing honor for anyone! The adoration of children. Nothing better. I have seen Crockah and Phelps and Lenny interact with children and it seems to me that swimmers are the best with kids, more than any other athletes. I wonder if it is because they train in the same pools often. I think if you grew up in a pool you probably spent alot of time looking at the older swimmers. Trying to be like them. So when you got to change to the "older swim groups" you notice when the little ones are looking at you. That seems to be mostly exclusive to swiming. Community pools and all. You know I really have no idea what I am talking about. But it is a good story! Anyway, Welcome!

And Aunt C, you were the only true victim, you had to win! The others were prey.

By Blogger lala, at 1/04/2005 2:22 AM

  • Aunt C There truly was no other choice for "best innocent victim". Wonderful acceptance speech..made me smile this morning. =)

Danielle & Autumn Welcome to the wonderful crazinees of the Brendan blog! It's nice to see so many new faces. I would have welcomed you sooner but I kind of passed out from sheer exhaustion last night.

JHD I know you only tease me because you love me! =P

Brendan I forgot to mention this yesterday, but thanks for the swim cap. It's definitely a wonderful little keepsake. To echo what lala said, you are so good to us! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/04/2005 5:55 AM

  • morning ladies, another B-E-A-utiful day here in SE pennsylvania. NOT! can you see my hair in argentina lena? i think it has crossed some borders today. no amount of straight ironing and anti-frizz helps!!

anyway, has anyone heard from our little jenny? did she fall into the toilet? send us a sign girlfriend!!

btw- Brendan loves his nicknames you guys gave him...especially pumpkin. Also, he loves the New York Jets, and he said he had trouble sleeping wondering if they would make it into the playoffs. heh heh...

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 1/04/2005 7:46 AM

  • okay, i'm kidding about the Jets. but he does like the nicknames.
can we think of one for Lenny K? he's one of my favorites...

    Poconos OUT!

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 1/04/2005 7:50 AM

  • Autumn, girlfriend....come on out of the closet like the rest of us. No need to blame the 6 year olds. You are among friends. We understand. Brendan is great, and it's okay to admit that. Stand up and say this out loud:

"My name is Autumn. I, too, am in love with Brendan. I am sorry for blaming my obsession on first graders, but they were a convenient excuse. I will no longer do that, and I will take responsibility for my actions. I will visit BHO often, to manage and share my feelings. And Kosucky Cheatajima is the biggest cheater ever, and I solemnly pledge that if I run into him on an elevator, I'm going to knee him in the groin, tell him that he's a cheater, and then say, "Damn, you are waaaaaaay shorter than you are on T.V.!!!!""

There, don't you feel better? BHO is kind of like a 12 step program, only in reverse. This site makes you more addicted. But you have lots of support. :)

By Blogger No Good User Names Left, at 1/04/2005 7:52 AM

  • swimphilly - don't scare me like that! For a second I really thought Brendan was a Jets fan! And it must be an east coast thing because I have Ryan Lochte hair today! I couldn't get the frizz out with any amount of product or the use of any hair tools.

As for nicknames for Lenny, the only one I know of is "Krazy" but his girlfriend Aims, could probably tell you what she calls him! ;) (Love ya Aims!)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/04/2005 8:01 AM

  • Morning people!
Swimphilly, can you see my hair? Is a humid summer in Buenos Aires, we're up at 32ÂșC already and is not even noon!

I'm glad Brendan likes Pumpkin as nickname. I like it too...
Steph, we missed ya last night love!

And Pumpkin, thanks for the cap, it's a wonderful present.

By Blogger Lena, at 1/04/2005 8:18 AM

  • Awww...he really likes the nicknames! How cute is that? Now I feel highly unimaginative and lazy for just calling him Bren.

Welcome to all the newcomers. Also,I'm glad to see that those kids know the real deal when they see it. Picking Bren is really the only logical choice. :)

By Blogger blairbecky, at 1/04/2005 8:20 AM

  • ryan lochte hair!! ha ha too funny
lena i remember my hair in argentina, not good times! we visited iguazu falls - i know i scared a few native indians w/ my crazy blonde curls!

Krazy is good. how about Special K? although we have a guy here on the sixers Kyle Korver, I call him special K - Aims, help me out!

i love the Jets...i tease cuz deep down I know B-bear loves them too. he just wont open up about it...YET! Eagles Schmeagles

yoo hoo - jenny?? someone get her a gatorade and advil!

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 1/04/2005 8:29 AM

  • Swim, my hair was crazy in Iguazu too! But I think that what I scared the most in there was a Dutch guy when I started to speak to him in his own language. I mean, there we were in the middle of the rain forest, nothing to be seen, in a very old bus and I listen to this guy speaking Dutch. I don't get too many chances to practice cause well, is not that common, so I tapped his shoulders and say "Hi, I speak Dutch" just like that. After the "is this girl crazy look?" we kind off started talking. It was fun.
Btu it was extremely hot in that place. I forecast yet another infernal summer in here.

I could comment on the whole Jets thing, except I know nothing about football (actually I thought the Jets were a b-ball team, thanks afading for that one) and well, Go whatever team that Pumpkin supports!

  • Lena - You like Denver! The Broncos rule! Keep repeating to yourself over and over!

swimphilly - deep down Sean must like Denver too right? I am sure this is the case! (Or at the very least, he won't tease me about liking them)

I expect you all to at least root for Denver this week, even if they are not your favorite team because no one wants the Colts to advance. Your team has a better chance against Denver in a head to head match up. (Yeah, that's my story!) ;)

Ryan Lochte hair clone - OUT! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/04/2005 8:51 AM

  • Well,I'm a Miami fan so I can't talk bad about anyone's team. Yes,I know, they suck and I should be in hiding right now. But no,I stand proud and I won't desert them in their times of complete suckage. *Looks around for a hug from somebody* It's just so hard sometimes. Alas,a ray of sunshine has appeared. We get the 2nd draft pick. :p

Stephie,I'm sorry but I'm all for the Colts. My daddy loves them and they are pretty close to us. Please don't hate me.

By Blogger blairbecky, at 1/04/2005 9:00 AM

  • blairbecky - I was going to give you a hug, but I can't now since you're rooting for the colts. But I don't hate you. I admire you for sticking by the Dolphins in their time of need. I've been a Broncos fan all my life and we went through 3 heartbreaking defeats in the Super Bowl before winning 2 in a row. Not to mention one 8-8 season where the whole state was depressed! It takes a true fan to stand by their team no matter what! =)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/04/2005 9:07 AM

  • Stephie,I wish we were 8-8 this season. My friend at work is a 49ers fan and we have bonded over our teams this season. I have gloated a little because we are 4-12 while the niners are 2-14.

By Blogger blairbecky, at 1/04/2005 9:22 AM

  • Oh,I was also going to say I picked the New Year's post in the poll. Hugs from Bren is by far the highpoint for me. I think I'm going to change my name to blairloveshugs. You should see me when I drink which isn't often. I get all emotional and want to hug everyone. It's both sad and funny thus the above statement regarding the frequency of alcohol experiences.

By Blogger blairbecky, at 1/04/2005 9:25 AM

  • blairbecky: they say that drunkenness brings out the one attribute in yourself that you try hardest to repress when sober. For some, it's violence - others lust - and for you, it's hugging. I think you sound utterly charming. :)

The Jets had a tremendous year despite last week's fallout. I watch Vilma on the defensive line - he's a franchise player, calling the signals just a year out of Miami. He's also a TREMENDOUSLY intelligent guy, shocking for his Thug U pedigree.

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 1/04/2005 9:30 AM

  • I get sleepy while tipsy... I'm not kidding...

By Blogger Lena, at 1/04/2005 9:38 AM

  • swimmphilly - Many people like "Krazy" for Lenny, which is OK. Usually, I just call him "my Lenny." :)

By Blogger AimsRos, at 1/04/2005 9:38 AM

  • Dana Cara- seriously...we may be clones(or colons as my grandma says) plus i really do think i know you from somewhere... I'm a huge Wayne Chrebet fan personally.
ALL of you guys ROCK - i dont have many girl friends that can actually discuss football, let alone sports and know what they are talking about. although, i can be a little fanatic, ask my roommates, i scream alot at the TV - because lets be honest, the coach CAN hear you. i'm really bad during march madness! (and we are not discussing the scene i made at the bar when i watched the infamous dolphinboy)

stephie - i am not allowed to root for my friends teams because i am a jinx and any team i cheer for collapses. John LeClair, Tony Amonte, I'm looking at you guys here...
so sorry, i cannot cheer for the broncos.

  • KAT! Admit it, you hacked into my computer and stole that photo of Cheatajima in women's underwear!

Either that or you've spent waaay too much time mastering that PhotoShop program. ;-)
But I have to admit, getting caught up on the postings each morning is better than caffeine. Carry on, ladies!

  • Swim, change football for futbol and you have me! I tell ya, I'm not starting to tell you the stories of the EuroCup 2004 and watching the games with the Dutch Community in a bar. I can curse in 5 different languages ans trust me, I used them all. They named me "Little Italian" and I got like 5 guys asking me out. Crazy times.

By Blogger Lena, at 1/04/2005 9:55 AM

  • true true. i've seen some crazy "futbol" fans...we football fans in the U.S. have nothing on those hooligans!

  • Hi Ladies, wanted to thank you all for the hugs that came my way when I had to take Megan back for training and Brendan to the airport.
It is very quiet here at home. I have 3 empty bedrooms with there doors shut. Miss them so much already. Thank God for the phone.
Had to post bc Michelle is holding out on you all. She should be part of the contest. She also received a swim cap with a message from Bren we would all agree on. Come on Michelle, show them!
Thank you all for voting for Brendan. It is great to see Aaron won as well. Nice truce. Especially, now that Aaron is moving in with Bren this month until he finds a home. I bet he will be visiting this site. Thanks again to all, Mrs.H

  • swimphilly: we might be colons. (ha) Maybe we have mutual friends? we should plan something one of these days. My email is tiger480@gmail.com - drop me a note. Oh and the Broncos - they do have John Lynch, who did ridiculous things at safety this year (and is another bright guy in football, from Stanford). Plus, they had that coordinator who taught them how to cut block, and now half the NFL fears for their knees when the ball is snapped. There's something kind of sexy/intimidating about that.

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 1/04/2005 10:01 AM

  • When I drink I get loud and silly. I guess your theory does not hold up well for me Dana Cara. I don't surpress those qualities well on a normal basis as you can see from previous posts. =)

swimphilly - Can you cheer for the Colts then? ha! And you like Tony Amonte?! The more I learn about you, the more I adore you! Tony Amonte is a BU alum and even though I was never a Blackhawks/Flyers fan, I adore Tony..very cool guy!

And I am a jinx too. I was not allowed to watch any Red Sox games during the ALCS because every game I watched, they ended up losing. When I stopped watching they came back from 4 down against the Yankees! And then there is of course the BU hockey stories, but I'll save those for another day..hee!

  • Loud and silly, nice! Don't repress that, both are among my favorite qualities in people. :)

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 1/04/2005 10:08 AM

  • Mrs H... hugs and more hugs for you. It's gotta be hard, but you have to think that they're gonna be fine and there's still phones. And you have us to make you laugh when needed---

"Especially, now that Aaron is moving in with Bren this month until he finds a home. I bet he will be visiting this site."

*thud* to much hotness in one place (trademark afadingvoice). I wonder if Ian is gonna be there too...

Like a Texas Trio Slumber party

  • Mrs H- glad to see your post. Having an empty nest must be hard. I know my mother is feeling it now as well. My brother has just left to go back to college and I've been out of the house for a while now. I've noticed an increase in email/phone calls from her since the holidays. I think she's having a tough time adjusting. It's got to be tough i'm sure.

Michelle- what's this we hear about a swimcap sent to you? Holding out on us eh? wrong I tell you. Dish.now.

By Blogger afadingvoice, at 1/04/2005 10:11 AM

  • Dana Cara - (Can I just call you DC? It's so much easier!) I try not to repress those qualities. And your analysis on Denver was right on the money. Now I just hope the right Jake Plummer shows up; the one that is confident and can actually play, not the other Jake who can not read a defense to save his life. ;)Maybe we should have a "Women who like sports" show on ESPN or something. (With a regular swimming feature added in of course and Lena on futbol!)

Mrs H - Glad the hugs helped. As Lena said, we're all here to make you laugh whenever you need us.

And what's this about a party in Austin with Bren-Bear and Aar-Bear as hosts? And we're all invited?? hee! =)

  • "Especially, now that Aaron is moving in with Bren this month until he finds a home. I bet he will be visiting this site." -

Hrrmph. That leaves no chance of bumping into Aaron in Newport. Which gives me no reason to go home to Irvine. Which means I won't get to see family... hey, this actually is working out well! ;)

In all seriousness though, um... Wait, serious? Nevermind.

  • Hello, all! I'm new to the posting thing, though I come to this sight every day, mostly to read....and I'll say, it's very entertaining stuff!

You're right, lala, that's "too much hotness in one place!" (quote), but what would you give to have a room in THAT house? I'm sure, if we all asked nicely, Ian wouldn't mind staying in the house too.......*girl can dream*

By Blogger Steph R., at 1/04/2005 10:52 AM

  • Welcome Steph R! Lovely for you to delurk and start posting.

And I'll even settled with cleaning the house. I wonder if Sean is gonna pop therea and visit his brother.

  • I am never sleeping again. Look at what I miss. A post from Mrs. H, Aaron is moving in with Brendan and possibly visiting the site. I suddenly feel the need to erase all my incriminating posts....

  • first - praise the lord my hair has de-poofed!

secondly, yes the ESPN show is in the works. however it would have to be ESPN8(the Ocho) and on late night because i tend to have a trucker mouth when i get fired up about sports, especially after a few drinks.

steph, you just sealed the deal w/sean. i am picking up the phone and calling him after i post this. I miss his face.

  • I like DC, it's all good :)

The guys are leaving money on the table with respect to this house. Between Brendan and Aaron and the fact that John reports that the house is huge, I propose the following: house tours. Brendan is a 23 year old guy, therefore, like any other 23 year old male, the house is most likely currently decorated with folding tables and one massive TV and the sectional couch he had back in college, right? Let Moms, Aunts, and volunteers from BMO (I'm ducking to avoid the stampede) decorate the house - work out some deal with the city of Austin with respect to parking and shuttle buses :) - charge $5 a tour. We can get Lena a visa to work the front door. :)

Money on the table, the same way that there is huge money for Ian Crocker if his agent would get on the phone with Pfizer and negotiate him as the spokesman for Zoloft. One commercial, thirty seconds, he'd make low six figures for that. He is an incredibly inspiring story with respect to that drug.

  • "steph, you just sealed the deal w/sean. i am picking up the phone and calling him after i post this."

You are too good to me, girl! ;) I miss hockey too..thank goodness I have college hockey at least! And yeah, maybe "the Ocho" would be a good idea. I tend to have a truckers mouth too at times, but I try to behave. ;)

And I thought Mauro was your boyfriend, or are there a bevy of them?? ha!

DC - I bet the department of tourism would be glad to have the extra bodies down there spending lots of money. Maybe you should talk to the guys agent. ;)

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/04/2005 12:13 PM

  • I've added a link to the cap he sent me. It's the best thing ever! I think I'm going to frame it and hang it somewhere in my office.

By Blogger Michelle, at 1/04/2005 12:24 PM

  • stephie- I read your post earlier about the Red Sox. You did not cause them bad luck! It was meant to be that they come back from behind. I actually missed the first three games because I was in Mexico and when I got back they won, it was great. I also got an SI in the mail, game 5, with a fab picture of Johnny Damon and I taped him to my window. We have since framed the picture and he sits on our coffee table- really adds to the decor. haha!
How is BU doing this year? I went to a huge hockey school, so I certainly miss seeing it on tv.

and DC, wonderful tourism idea. I'm in!

  • Welcome Steph h! How nice or you to quote me, but alas that was our dear Lena you quoted our dear afadingvoice with the quote "too much hotness in one place." Haha. I am afraid I no longer have a football team since the Rams left for colder climates. I have been watching college ball mostly since then or just rooting for the guys in the shiniest uniforms whenever a game is on. How about those first two bowl games on saturday?!

Nice to see you Mrs. H. We have missed you! Oh and as far as the poll goes. I also loved the post where Bren told us about Sean. Poor Stephie would have no purpose in her life if not for that post!

By Blogger lala, at 1/04/2005 12:30 PM

  • Sorry for the double post but Michelle! And why have been holding out on us? That black cap is aboslutely teh hot! It is almost as hot as mine! Tee hee!
