  • "Because you're mine.. I walk the line"

Johnny Cash. I walk the line.....

If you walked a pool line I am afraid you would drown.. better if you swim it.

  • Life in the fast lane, this game is gonna slowly make me lose my mind.

*pause* Doesn't work well with all the extra syllables, does it?

By Blogger crackinup, at 1/25/2005 12:03 AM

  • Ok, real answer. You all know the song.

"Gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there."

Swimmers will get the "flag" reference. Or should. Unless they're Gary Hall, in which case they'll just do a flip turn.

    Sometimes I feel like superman
    Sometimes I'm just recuperating

"At the bottom of the big blue sea
Just you and me At the bottom of the big blue sea"

"And its days like this that burn me
Turn me inside out and learn me"

"I'm sinking, I'm swimming no wait a minute
    I'm drowning no I ain't kidding around
Sometimes i think i'm gonna make it

  • Work The Middle, Work The Middle
Work The Middle, Work The Middle
    (Change Positions For Me)
    Change Positions, New Positions
    New Positions, New Positions
    (Now Stroke It Baby)
Stroke It For Me, Stroke It For Me
Stroke It For Me, Stroke It For Me

    Aaliyah- Rock the boat.

See at first glance this would seem like a dirty song... but "change positions" is referring to changing strokes in an IM. And "Stroke it for me" is what you are cheering from the pool deck.... see?

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 1/25/2005 10:13 AM

  • I'm going oldschool! I have no idea who sang this first, I learned it at camp (with hand motions):

    Swimming, swimming
    In a swimming pool
When days are hot, when days are cold
    In a swimming pool
Breaststroke, side stroke, fancy diving too
Now don't you wish all you had to do was...

Then you hum the next line of the song, go all the way through, and repeat until you're humming the entire song except the last line.

  • Hey, I like this game, here is my contribution…
Blogger wasn’t nice to me, so I’m a little late with my ‘pool song’:

We’re going on a holiday now
Gonna take a villa, a small chalet
    On the costa del magnifico
Where the cost of living is so low
Yeah, we’re gonna be so neat
    Dance to the eurobeat
Yeah, we’re gonna be so cool
    Twisting by the pool

Twisting by the pool, Dire Straits

And this one is for Brendan:

    Blue eyes
    Baby’s got blue eyes
    Like a deep blue sea
    On a blue blue day
    Blue eyes
    Baby’s got blue eyes

    Blue eyes, Elton John

Every minute, every hour, every day....

  • I am the king of the jungle
    They call me tiger man

  • You're my honey pumpkin lover
    You're my heart's delight
Don't you want to go out tonight?

    -Steve Miller, "Dance, Dance, Dance"

  • "It's like being lost in heaven
When I'm lost in your eyes"

Bare with me, I'm in a romantic phase...

By Blogger Lena, at 1/25/2005 1:36 PM

  • Okay you guys.. just because a song has the word man or love doesn't really make it about Brendan does it? Next will be U2's Desire. And angel perched on my shoulder and gave me an appropriate song..

I wanna' grab you by those big buns ...
Sooo ... tight, sooo ... tight.
I wanna' grab you by those big buns ...
Those big buns. sooo ... tight.

    Grand Funk Railroad-- Big Buns

The word tight was in there.... so I had to. You would have .. right?

  • So he saved his money, sold his car,
And with his eye set on a southern star,
He got the courage to follow his heart,
He set out for a brand new start.

    ~Island Boy, Kenny Chesney

    By Blogger lizook12, at 1/25/2005 8:40 PM

  • Nelly- "Hot In Here"

    "It's gettin' hot in here
So take off all your clothes
    I am getting so hot"

"I wanna take my clothes off
Oh it's getting hot in here
So take off all your clothes"

...wow, just kidding but it took me a while of scrolling through my iTunes to find anything summing up Brendan in one song. I had to fight away urges to say things like "Your Body is a Wonderland"-John Mayer or Rock Your Body"-Justin Timberlake

and all I can still come up with is
    Bob Schneider- "Big Blue Sea"

"Sometimes I feel like superman (like his superman shirt)
    Sometimes I'm just recuperating"

"At the bottom of the big blue sea
Just you and me At the bottom of the big blue sea"

"And its days like this that burn me
Turn me inside out and learn me"

"I'm sinking, I'm swimming no wait a minute
    I'm drowning no I ain't kidding around
Sometimes i think i'm gonna make it
    Sometimes I fake it"
