    1. Black Speedo or Blue Jammers.... Well the Speedo is good because we haven't really seen that. And man thigh? Nice. But he jammers ar so so nice and he looks great in them. Can I say... Black Jammers? I like those black jammers, with or without the orange wasteband... oooh but I like the silver waist on the blue jammers.. Ummm. I say NIKE!

    2. Olympic Rings or Longhorns.... Come on, yo! Who thought this crap up?! I will say... OH! I cannot answer this one becasue the Olympic rings are such an honor to have, and yet the longhorns are such and honor to see... Hmm and yet also a honor to have. All the boys have the rings now.. but only a few have the horns. My head, she is spinning. I guess that I cannot love the longhorns until I see them and yet I long for the lonhorns! I cannot answer this until I have more facts at my disposal.

    3. Scruffy or Clean Shaven.... I want to shave him. So I guess I will start off with Scruffy. But be at hand with a razor!

    4. Patriots or Eagles? I will say Eagles because I want the Steelers.

    5. Pumkin or BrenBear.... BrenBear because that is his cuddle name. And his sleepy name. And Lena thinks she owns pumpkin. ;) I myself prefer Toight Toiger. It is just pervy enough to be funny and non threatening.

    6. Crappy Long Beach Bleachers or Athens Brothel.... Crappy Long Beach brothel! All the way!

    Somehow I fear that this isn't what Michelle had in mind....

    This is great though Meesh, because Mrs H and the Aunties can play along and so can the Gpeeps and Bren too!

    This is very very very, hard. I'm a personal fan of Speedos for swimmers, cause, well... just cause. But also, the blue jammers are so pretty... decisions decisions... jammers.

    I fully admit I want to see the Longhorns... we all know this. That beign said, The Rings. I love its location and it's just plain elegant and sexy.

    3. Scruffy or Clean Shaven?

    He looks great in both, but I'd go with the scruff.

    uh? Paso. No idea, haven't seen a game. Who does Brendan root for, swimphilly?

    Feel a little weird answering this one, but going with jammers...only because Bren is with Nike and not Speedo....

    2. Rings or longhorn?

    Definitely Rings no question there...while the longhorn is significant, the Rings show that Bren accomplished one of his dreams...nothing is better than that.

    3. Scruffy or clean shaven?

    I am going with scruffy, I think he looks very GQ'ish.

    4. Patriots or Eagles?

    No brainer.....Eagles, after all how many times have the Patriots won???

    5. Pumpkin or Bren-bear?

    There is some history here...Pumpkin was a nickname first given to Sean and when I think of a pumpkin man, it is Sean...I use to make up songs with Pumpkin man in them and sang them to Sean when he was a toddler (a weird aunt I know). Bren-bear was Bren's first nickname that was not shared with his brother, it was his and his alone.....so going with Bren-bear.

    6. Long Beach or Athens brothel?

    Well I am gonna shock all of you and say LB for a few reasons....if it is in Athens, I won't be able to go and have no desire to room in a brothel. LB is the answer as long as my favorite neice Megan is there, hey Meggie's there is another hoodie in this for ya if you help me handle the stands again (small price to pay for a little help, trust me on that one)!!!

    Jammers all the way. Everytime I see a Speedo, I keep flashing back to all the horribly overweight men I saw wearing them on Italian beaches. *shudder* I think I'm traumatized for life.

    1. Jammers-the speedo is good but there is just something about the navy jammers that look soooo good on him.
    2.ok, ok. Olympic rings. I would say Longhorns but i guess some things have to remain a mystery. Seriously, the rings do tell a story and show how he accomplished his dream
    3. this one is hard. Aunt K, i agree he looks GQ with the scruff but i have to go with CLEAN SHAVEN. It gives him a classic, cleancut look
    4. Eagles-neither are "my" team but ill say it for Bren Brear's sake
    5. Bren BEar-I know you aunts have a greater attachment then i do but it just sounds so cute..especially to call him that now. hehe

  • Well,I'm late to the thread as usual. Great questions but hard choices. Hmmmmm....let's see.

    1. Blue Jammers - I like him in blue better than black. This is only reason I could come up with.

    2. Longhorns - Because I haven't seen them and I'm too curious for my own good.

    3. Clean Shaven - I like the chin too much for it to be covered.

    4. Eagles - Gotta support my Momma's home town.

    5. Bren Bear - Because I call him Bren for the most part and because I think
    bears are cuddly cute. Stuffed ones,that is. :p I actually still one stuffed bear that played music at my mom's house. My 2 year old neice loves it.

    6. Crappy Longbeach Bleachers - I'm still depressed about the situation but I would choose crappy bleachers over a expensive flight just to stay in a brothel anyday.

  • No no no, atrophy69. I don't believe that Brendan has to do with out one of his tatts..... I won't play if those are the rules. He worked very hard for those tattoos and removal is very painful. So I was just thinking about what I would like to see. But I am thinking, My goodness.. His Aunties are afraid? And they avert their eyes? My goodness. I don't know if that makes me want to see the horns more or to blush and pretend they dont exist... can they be worse than Aar-bear and the Crockah's ring placement? I mean.. can they?

  • Oh I was so caught up with visualizing teh longhorn that I forgot to tell eveyone thanks for the good wishes! So strange to see that articel here. Thanks Meesh! I had "the actors nightmare" last night. The one where everthing goes wrong. And the time came to perform a scene and I didnt know my lines and niether did my scene partner and all of a suddent these hottie swimmers show up and they are being rounded up by nazi's! I was all..... Hey! No! I dont know my lines.. Why did we never rehearse this with the hottie swimmers before? And my director says, "Because I knew they would destroy your consentration."

    Word.

    2. Rings. Love Brendan's shoulder's and the rings just highlight them so nicely. BUT, I wouldn't be against seeing the Longhorns either. ;)
    3. Hmmm. This is a tough choice, but I think I will have to go with scruffy.

    5. Bren-Bear. Definitely.
    6. Crappy Long Beach Bleachers! The likelihood of me being able to see Brendan swim live again greatly increases if he is swimming in the US. Sorry, I'm selfish! ;)

    1. Gotta love the color navy and I'm more of a fan of jammers versus speedos. Blue jammers it is!
    2. I agree with you Steph. I've got a major thing for upper back/shoulders, so even though I wouldn't be opposed to seeing the Horns, I've gotta go with the Rings.
    3. Tough on. I think Scruff suits Brendan well, but I'll go with clean-shaven
    4. Eagles. Pats have won enough
    5. BrenBear. I think it's adorable and I want to refrain from getting death glares from Argentina
    6. Gotta go with LB. I would be able to go, unlike if it were in Athens, plus more BHOers would be able to be there, so we could have communal huddling and popping pills

    and what is this deal about other states being UT fans, they should stop so UT wouldn't be so popular and then they wouldn't have the top 10 percent rule for Texas kids, then I would get in and love my life...

  • 1. Black Speedo or Blue Jammers? Jammers, but only because the phsyics of it all amazes me. Why so low? How does that stay on? Seriously, I have a swimsuit that's a little low cut and I freak out every time I pop out of the water that I'm going to 'pop' out of the water--I'm sure the though has crossed his mind...

    2. Olympic rings or Longhorns? Rings mainly because they aren't on his hip... Plus, I get to see Longhorns everything everyday of my life--honestly, this is Seattle, what's the deal? And I think of that tattoo as almost sacred--something you have to earn. Plus, and no offense to anyone with this, I like the fact that he comes off as a little tease about the Longhorns tattoo. He leaves a little mystery.

    3. Scruffy or Clean Shaven? Sexier when scruffy, more All-American boy when clean shaven... I'm going with the All-American boy look, for role model purposes...

    4. Patriots or Eagles? Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines... But haven't the Patriots won enough? Eagles.

    5. Pumpkin or Bren Bear? Anything doing with Pumpkin, and I get that it's a cute nickname, but it reminds me of falling down in the mud as a three year old (my pre-school was big on fieldtrips, especially to pumpkin patches and other places filled with dirt--I loved it, but a mouth full of mud is never fun)... Plus, anything to do with Bears brings up happy memories of teachers wearing full on cutie bear costumes (I realized today that my schooling was very different from others--Come on, you can't tell me your teachers didn't wear Santa hats and conga line around the gym singing "Feliz Navidad") So, Bren Bear for those reasons, but also because it sounds cuddly and transcends the generations--his family can call him that, and, who wouldn't want to cuddle on the couch with their little Bren Bear?

  • Just a little FYI for Jaclyn and the other bloggers. Did you know that the ideal swimming body is one with a very long torso in proportion to the legs. If you look at the elite swimmers' bodies, they generally fit this body type. Brendan, Aaron and Michael Phelps all have pretty long torsos...therefore it appears as if they are wearing their suits really low. (Ok in Phelps' case I have almost seen the crack)...but really...that is the reason the illusion of wearing them low exhists.

    And Lala...I neglected to wish you good luck with the show!!! Should you be blogging or going over those lines again?

  • Hah! Almost see the Phelps butt crack, Aunt C? I can pull out many a picture which prove that the crack is on display quite often. ;)

    Before I start this horrible game that makes me choose between some good stuff, I want to say break a leg, lala! Go out there and rock them, girl!

    Now, to sophies choice...

    1.Starting off with a hard one. I love that picture of B-han in the speedo, but I'm gonna have to go with the jammers. There is something about them that just works for Bren

    2. Since I haven't seen the longhorns, I'm also going to have to go with the rings. They do symbolize a great achievement in the boy's life

    3. I love the scruff! Clean shaven is nice as well, but I'm partial to scruffy men

    4. I'm with swimphilly on this one...JETS!
    *sigh* I guess I'm going to have to go with the Eagles.

  • Darn it it erased my post before I could post it. :(
    1) Blue Jammers...but my favorite suit on guys is drag suits...PERFECTION. But I can't remember seeing any pictures of Bren in one....does anyone else? Although of the two choices Blue Jammers are my suit of choice on Brendan.

    2) Olypmic Rings bc of what they mean and how hard Brendan worked for them. But I still believe that I will need to see the Longhorns to make an informed decision. Come on Brendan, you got the camera, Aaron won't mind....just consider it on of his household duties while he's staying with ya.

    3) Scruffy or Clean Shaven? Both. Equally. I could never choose.....I guess clean shaven in the summer and scruffy through the winter.

    4) Eagles

    5) Pumpkin....but my dad also calls me Pumpkin..so it would be a little confusing when I take Bren home to meet the folks...oh wait Kate...you are dreaming again. :)

    6) LB No time delay and the chances of going are greater...and a chance to meet the GREAT HANSEN family and a great excuse to go to CALI, Ive never been.

    And by the way, I am EXTREMELY ENVIOUS of all your gals in Austin...I mean how do you sleep at night knowing that you share the city with Bren, Aaron, Lance Armstrong, Andy Roddick? All my favorite athletes in one city....Im packing my bags...anyone have a place I can stay till I find a permanent residence?

  • Kate- let me tell you it's definitely not easy sharing Austin with all these gorgeous athletes. The day I meet Lance Armstrong will be the best day of my life, seriously who cares about your wedding day...your first child...it's all about meeting Lance. Oh and I've tried.

    One time I was 10 feet from him and I couldn't stop myself from shaking (yes, Lance Armstrong is like my New Kids on the Block obsession)

    and when I met Andy Roddick all I could say was "I...I...I...I don't know what to say, MY NAME IS ANNA!"

    OSLO, Norway - President Bush (news - web sites)'s "Hook 'em, 'horns" salute got lost in translation in Norway, where shocked people interpreted his hand gesture during his inauguration as a salute to Satan.

    That's what it means in the Nordics when you throw up the right hand with the index and pinky fingers raised, a gesture popular among heavy metal groups and their fans in the region.

    "Shock greeting from Bush daughter," a headline in the Norwegian Internet newspaper Nettavisen said above a photograph of Bush's daughter Jenna, smiling and showing the sign.

  • About George Bush's supposed Satan-saluting: It's true that Verdens Gang had an article about that on friday (I live in Norway),and the article was about him paying tribute to the Texas Longhorns. But as Jen said,the newspaper explained that it was not a satan sign. I did not read what Nettavisen wrote, but obviously that journalist hadn't done his homework. The satan sign is when you do the longhorn-sign with your palm towards you. Bush was simply showing his support for the football team.
    I just had to make a comment on that, being an Norwegian myself, and so that you people didn't think that all Norwegians were as uninformed as that journalist.

  • This is great Michelle, I actually have something I can do...snow is nice but in small doses like 2-4" you can still get around but this 10-18" (or whatever they are calling for) is slowly driving me nuts. I read, watched a movie, answered email, stopped by here a few times...but nothing new until now...so here goes

    1. 100 M relay leg or 100 Breaststroke
    Actually toughest question of all of them, Brendan loves that relay they won gold at Worlds...then Olympics and short course not to mention the records!! But the 100 breast was Bren's first WR and I saw that incredible swim...then his reaction...and dolphin boy did not come near his WR....I gotta plead the 5th here.

    2. Aabear or Crockah?
    Aaron because he is a loyal to his friends...remember Athens. Plus I dont think I ever met Ian.

    3. Brendan at work or at play?
    At play...he really is fun to be around...plus he works so hard, he needs to play once in awhile.

    4. Long Course or Short Course?
    Long no doubt about it....and I probably shouldnt say this but Bren is a better swimmer than he a 'turner'...less turns in long course.

    Steph how are you up there?!?! I hear its up to maybe 30inches?? It stopped here, but now its starts up again around midnight for Round 2, so our total might be around 18inches - I LOVE it! Plus I just had some wicked apple cider courtesy of my roomate - and she spiked it of course.
