Wise Men's Day Part I
You're all wondering what I'm talking about. We have a kid's holiday in Argentina called Dia de Reyes, Wise Men's Day. On the night of January 5th, kids leave their shoes out along with grass and water for the Wise Men, who are travelling and need to make stops in the road. As a thankful note, the Wise Men leave toys and gifts next to the kids' shoes. So when you wake up on January 6th,. you find a gift next to your shoes.
We're gonna celebrate Wise Men's day in here. The first part is on you. What would you put next to your shoes instead of grass and water if the Wise Men were the Wise Texas Trio?
Let us know... As for the gifts, you'd have to wait until tomorrow and see...
PS I: thanks lala for the lovely manip
PS II: You know this, Michelle is still teh boss!
ETA: Don't forget to leave something for Aunt C the Wise Woman. It's her day too!

(You have lala and Aunt K to thank for this:D. Don't shoot the messenger!)

Oooh! I was going to go to bed but checked back real quick. Hmmmm...what would I leave?
Okay,I believe I would just leave my number next to my shoes! *Winks and makes a hand phone while wording "Call Me" to the Trio*

Hey Lena, you know what we do here in the U.S. If you receive a Christmas card with three wise men on it you are to place it above your entrance door of your home and in the New Year you will receive many gifts. I send out cards every year with the three wise men on it to my family and friends. I have received two this year so I am blessed. Funny, they did not have faces like the group above.
I would leave this trio, FOOD, FOOD,and MORE FOOD! Mrs.H

Well since the wisemen are traveling together...(Hot) and since they have beers.. I would leave a box of toothpicks...And more Beers. Since we know one of the wisemen has a digital camera. And since I see that they have beers, I am hoping that they start to party a little bit while I sleep. And I hope that Aaron gets really trashed and falls heavily to sleep before the Crockah and pumkin do. Then I hope that they use the toothpicks in an appropriate manner and the when I wake I either find a series of photos of Aaron like this, or all of then crashed out on the couches so that I can take a series of photos like that..
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 11:04 AM
Okay, I would probably leave two things...
The teacher side of me would leave a picture and a note from my class (boring, I know)
But the fan (girl) side of me would leave food (per Mrs.H) and my number...I'm just kidding. (seriously, call me!)

oh man, lala. that picture is priceless. If you do get pictures like that of aaron, you know you have to share, right?
What would i leave by my shoes? I'd have to go with the whole phone # thing, and something little for each of the 'wise men': some hair diffuser for aaron, to tame those locks a bit, a set of guitar strings for ian, and some extra batteries for b-han, because we never want that camera to be unavailable for an impromptu photo shoot
By
Sarah, at 1/05/2005 11:11 AM
And don't worry Toiger, Crockah and Aar-bear. .. I would never photograph your tattoos without your permission. I wont even look for them. Underneath I am a lady after all.. It is well hidden under my behavior but it is a fact. And if they move worlds here (LBC) you may crash on my couches without fears.
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 11:13 AM
Oh lala, that picture is priceless. Gotta love the shaming.
Well, per Mrs. H's suggestion, I would leave lots of non-perishable goodies for the trio to snack on. Perhaps i'll also include a new scrunchy spongey thing and body wash for Brendan, since he loves to shower so. After the drunken toothpick shaming of Aaron, a bottle of Frizz-Eez is in order. I'm still working on a Crocker-specific gift. I'll get back to you.
By
afadingvoice, at 1/05/2005 11:16 AM
I didn't know that about the cards Mrs. H. I'll have to start doing that myself.
As far as what I'd leave them...
For Ian I'd leave some new guitar strings, because you can never have enough, especially of the little ones, and some catnip for the kitties.
For Aaron I'd leave a new plaid shirt and a good face lotion with spf45 because he needs to start taking better care of his handsome face.
Brendan is tough...Maybe a Mandy Moore poster for his new home and a dolphin chew toy for Jack. I'll have to give this more thought later.
By
Michelle, at 1/05/2005 11:19 AM
Hair control for Aaron is hilarious Sarah. Then I guess I would add some hair accessories for him. Wouldn't he look cute! I would leave a little tape-recorder thing for Ian record all of his songs. And since Brendan already has a digital camera, I'll give him a digital video camera to tape their whole trip, provided that Sarah gives alot of batteries;)
By
Esther, at 1/05/2005 11:22 AM
okay, at first i was like, "toothpicks"??? but then ... ah-ha! funny stuff, lala!
oh, and as far as what i'd leave the trio? myself, of course! i'd curl up right beside my steve madden's and eagerly anticipate their arrival.
hello, tasty trio!
(alright, i seriously wish i had the moxie to do this!)
By
Manda, at 1/05/2005 11:23 AM
I'm glad you have that too, Mrs H.
Since food is already taken...
For Ian, some cat toys and srings for his guitar, along with a not saying he should record a CD, cause I adore his voice.
For Aaron, dude, some good hair products, Kyan's from Queer Eye phone number (call him, he'll help you with the hair, seriously), some sun block for that pretty face ans sunglasses for the lovely eyes. And a sleeping bag, since he's between houses, it might be helpful when he needs to crash somewhere, like in my house.
For Pumpkin, I don't know... some new arrows maybe (ACC perhaps? Let me know), a grey hoodie (cause you look good in those), and a little note thanking him for the swimcap and (not) asking for a tattoo pic.
By
Lena, at 1/05/2005 11:27 AM
Wait, we're leaving them something other than food? Is there really anything else to be left? I think food would pretty much be it. They're 3 20-something guys. I think food, alcohol and plenty of water (to avoid hangovers) would be all that they'd need.
By
a, at 1/05/2005 11:37 AM
I actually like Aaron hair a little on the wild side. And I really love Crockah's a little longer too. And Bren's looks great with just a tiny bit of legnth. I made this post because I dont want Aaron to think that we only pick on his hair. There are ladies here who have actually taken hits out on each other to get to twist their fingers in it.
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 11:37 AM
Well atrophy some of us try to see them as more than 3 20something and appretiate how unique they are. But if you want to go with the standards, I'm sure Aaron is gonna appretiate it too. I kid b/c I love you... seriously (no monkey).
By
Lena, at 1/05/2005 11:50 AM
Lena, my family does something similar on St. Nicholas day (December 6th). On the night of December 5th we set out or shoes and in the morning, I find tons of goodies from St. Nicholas! I think it's mainly just a Catholic thing, because it is celebrating the feast of a saint. It's seriously my favorite day, because in the lead up to all the Christmas fun, we get goodies. I am 21 and my Mom still (oops I mean St. Nicholas) puts presents in my shoes! Mrs. H, do you celebrate this too? I swear people look at me like I am an alien when I tell them about St. Nicholas day! LOL!
As far as leaving something for the trio....hmmmmmmmm. I guess I would leave, digital camera so I could prove to my friends I wasn't hallucinating. I would leave some yummy treats (the boys will get tired on their way to see Lena..that's a long trip!)and then, I would leave a request for Sean to post for my dear Stephie and Lala. That would be my good deed for the day!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 11:53 AM
Kimberly - I celebrate St. Nicholas too! Even though I now live far from home, my mom will still call on the 5th and tell me to leave my shoes out and then she'll-oops, I mean St. Nick-have something delivered to my apartment in the morning.
By
Autumn, at 1/05/2005 12:20 PM
Autumn, arent Mom's so cute! My mom did the same thing when I lived in the dorms, she sent me and my roommates all st.nick packages. I love Mom's! Autumn we have a lot in common I've noticed. Especially pumpkin love ;)!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 12:32 PM
Hey lala. I'm with you on Aaron's hair. I tend to like guys with longish hair. But Brendan's hair is just perfect the way it is. He's so cute no matter what.
By
Esther, at 1/05/2005 12:34 PM
Kimberly, Ah...pumpkin love...the common bond that unites us all. Together, we can bring the world together under this one banner, and pledge our undying devotion...
sorry, got a bit off track. Yes, mom's are very cute. Does yours still put presents under the tree marked from santa? Mine still does, even though I'm 22 and my brother is 26.

First I apologize but my post kept getting jumbled together..this is the last one I promise! =(
Well, I had to really think about this one, but here's what I've come with
For Aar-Bear: An electric griddle, this really cool pancake spatula (I have one..it's awesome btw!) and all the fixins to make those chocolate chip pancakes I hear he loves so much. There is also a coupon attached that he can redeem so that he can enlist myself and my assistants (one atrophy and one JHD (as long as they agree to not cause a kurfuffle HA!) to prepare the chcocolate chip pancakes for him. =)
Bonus Gift: His very own Bad Hair Day Swim Cap ;)
For teh Crockah: A very nice gift card to Auto Zone for all his automotive needs. (Since he apparently loves to tinker with cars) =)
Bonus Gift: His very own I'd Be Jealous if I Were You Swim CapFor teh Handsome: His very own Pumpkin Swim Cap and I am the Great Pumpkin Hoodie
Bonus Gift: An envelope with a travel itinerary inside. The itinerary is that of a certain lovely young lady from Buenos Aires who I believe he should meet. (All I ask is that you be nice to the giver of these gifts, and perhaps introduce her to your lovely brother, Handsome) ;)
By
Stephie Mc, at 1/05/2005 12:56 PM
Autumn, yeah my mom still puts from "santa" on our presents. When I say our I mean my sisters who are 33, and 30 and both married with children, and my brother who is 32 and married with soon to be two kids! She loves it though (and so do I)!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 12:57 PM
stephie mc, we so need to get pumpkin that hoodie!lol!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 1:03 PM
Stephie--I have that bad hair day swim cap. Our coach got one for the entire swim team during our awards dinner junior year. :D
By
Sarah, at 1/05/2005 1:05 PM
That's such an adorable picture.
Most of the practical things have been stated, but I would definitely leave a USB link for Brendan so that he can transfer his pics from his camera to this website[for all of us to enjoy ;)].
For Aaron, I think his long curly hair has great potential. All he needs is some gel or mousse to make his locks more defined and brilliant.
Finally for Ian, a gift certificate from Ace Hardware store, so that he can continue restoring cars.
By
Simmy, at 1/05/2005 1:08 PM
I never used to find guys wearing turbans or kafiyehs sexy. Y'know I may need to rethink this.
And what would I leave them? Can't BELIEVE no one's said this yet. I'd leave me! That's right, next to my shoes, the Wise Men would find a curled up JHD sleeping in a roomy sleeping bag.
By
JHD, at 1/05/2005 1:12 PM
And Steph, I promise I will not cause a kerfuffle! I'll be really really good. (although I don't know now if it's more the thought of the Trio or the chocolate chip pancakes that's got me all twirly.)
By
JHD, at 1/05/2005 1:14 PM
"Lena, my family does something similar on St. Nicholas day (December 6th)."
Kimberly, you're describing "Sinterklaas" a traditional and still celebrated holiday in Holland. Kids leave milk and cookies at night for Sinterklaas (St Nicholas) and Zwarte Piet and they get gifts too. People also exchange gifts and poems.
I've been celebrating Sitnerklaas for 4 years now, ever since I started to study Dutch here in Buenos Aires, with my course mates. We get a name out of a box and get this person a poem (in Dutch) and a gift in a special day when we also eat Spekulaas (recipe to be found at the cookie thread, beetween lala and Steph's shots recipes) and other yummy things. Is nice to see how the poems had gotten better with the years and the gifts more thoughtful now that I know them better. But writing the poems is the funniest part. If you all behave, I might write one. If you're interested...
Yeah,I hang out with the Dutch a lot, dont' ask.
Tigger, lovely presents. That hoodie is awesome, but I'm afraid Brendan would get teased by his friends if he wears that. And thanks for your kidness and thinking of me.
My mom just called and told me that "Reyes" would be passing tonight by his house... yeah, they're the best...

Lena - I know that teh Handsome wouldn't really wear either the swim cap or hoodie, but I felt he needed tham anyway. I think he'd laugh when he saw them next to my shoes, and that's a gift to us all - the gift of laughter! ;) And its not like they aren't all going to laugh at all of the hair product everyone is so keen on giving Aar-Bear! haha!
By
Stephie Mc, at 1/05/2005 2:17 PM
Lena, this is Kimberly. I have heard of that Dutch celebration actually, because my dad's family is 100% Dutch. We still have family over in Holland. I would love a poem, and I have been a good girl so far this year (come on, being good 5 days in a row is hard!). Can't you see my halo? My horns are holding it up.

Omg Michelle, you are too funny. I have this visual of the trio coming up to their shoes and seeing a dolphin chew toy for Jack....Bren would definitely be cracking up about that and Aaron would probably too.
I would probably leave them a power drink like gatorade or something like that, since my sister left them food. If they have been walking, taking pics, drinking beer, organizing all of the phone numbers they are receiving etc, they are going to need something to get the levels where they will need to be.
In my family we dont celebrate January 6th the way Lena and others do....but for a good reason. You see exactly 40 years ago, on January 6th, my mom had to go to the hospital. When she was released, she came home with her 9th child. An adorable baby girl, so we celebrate her birthday instead. And I wanted to take this opportunity to welcome my sister (aka Aunt C)with arms wide open to her fourth decade of life. Sorry 'C' but I had to do this...if you are anything like me turning 40 totally sucks, I am still not over it and I have been in the 40's for ??? years now....still not use to it.
So ladies, join me in welcoming my sister to the 40's and say Happy Birthday to her (and 'C' all those people that say age is just a number well that is just a bunch of bs...cause when people ask you how old you are... ya still have to say it....you may not feel it...you may not act it...you certainly dont want to be it but... ya still gotta say it....I'm 40...damn I think this may be harder on me than it is on you...Ok where are those meds...was the refill ever called in).
Did this just cause I love ya 'C' !!!!

Aunt K, at 1/05/2005 4:51 PM
'And its not like they aren't all going to laugh at all of the hair product everyone is so keen on giving Aar-Bear! haha!'
I vote we all rally together and get Aaron a jumbo-sized basket of hair products - defrizzers, mousse, leave-in conditioner, the works. All in a fancy basket, signed, 'From your (curly hair) loving fans'.
By
Danielle, at 1/05/2005 5:37 PM
Ok, after some considerable thought I've revised my gift list.
Brendan get's this lamp> because I know how much he loves A Christmas Story and he's got to furnish that new house.
Aaron get's this camera because he said once he'd want to play Bond in the movies and this way he can practice being a super sleuth by taking pictures of Brendan for us.
For Ian I'm giving a contract with PMG because I want to see him in the Nike Jammers with Aaron and Brendan and because I think the world needs a Trio world tour this summer.
By
Michelle, at 1/05/2005 5:46 PM
I am not sure I would call toothpicks "hair product" Stephie.. but okay ;)
Thanks for the nice comments about the photo, all. I really have fun putting that trio into the oddest situations!
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 5:52 PM
Jack still gets his chew toy and the kitties still get their catnip btw.
Hi Aunt K! I can't believe you just ratted out your own baby sister. lol. We are going to have to throw her a blog party tomorrow.
By
Michelle, at 1/05/2005 6:06 PM
Thanks for the info, Aunt K, I'll be sure to have something especial for Aunt C tomorrow then.
Michelle, lovely gifts. And yes, a Trio Tour, with a stop in Buenos Aires
By
Lena, at 1/05/2005 6:09 PM
I'm going to leave a gift for Aunt C beside my shoes too. Hmmmmmmm. Will get back to you.
By
Michelle, at 1/05/2005 6:24 PM
Aunt K!!! You are so funny! Happy early birthday to Aunt C! And Aunt C you know, 40 is the new 30! Look at Demi Moore. She went out and got herself a boy-toy and botox for her 40th. I don't think she's ever looked better!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 7:07 PM
I would leave all 3 of them S'mores, because what good American boy doesn't love a S'more? Maybe the movie Sandlot too. If they want a meal then I could leave them Subway, a couple foot long "total happiness" (meatball marinara).
Ok that's just what I would want to be left in return so if they didn't want any of it, then that would be a good present. Well, that and a couple tattoo pictures.

Anna, at 1/05/2005 7:17 PM

Ahhh Aunt C!! Innocent victim again! By my shoes I will leave Aunt C the knowledge that the best response to the age question is: "I am Forty! Isn't that absurd?" That is what I always say and then I say something like. I think that my attitude maturity stopped at 22 because I know I am old enough to drink.... And aren't teh Trio HOT? Maybe I will leave Aunt C some vitamin Be-Twelve too! ;)
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 7:51 PM
Wow!! Look at the body in that pic! I can't even come up with a good comment for it.
By
blairbecky, at 1/05/2005 8:06 PM
lala, the good ol' B12...
Fro the record, Aunt C, I have absolutely nothing to do with that manip... You're an innocent victim once again.
And I think my gift to yo would be a day in a Spa to relax!
By
Lena, at 1/05/2005 8:14 PM
Oh goodness! I love all the stuff you left on your new list, Michelle! Now remember to tell Aaron to use that spy camera for good instead of evil! ;)
Well, since apparently we are now giving gifts to Aunt C, my gift will be an unlimited supply of doctors script pads so she will not want for a thing in the event that worlds does end up in Long Beach. I will also leave her a lime, salt, and a bottle of the finest tequilla money can buy.
And I can't believe I forgot to put out that ball of string for teh Crockah's cats from their cousins in Boston (hee hee I'm lame, but also cute! ha!!) =)

Happy Birthday Aunt C!
As my wise ol' dad says: "Birthdays are good. Getting older is a good thing. Because the alternative sucks."
By
JHD, at 1/05/2005 8:39 PM
So I guess if I leave the wise men get a gift.. I will ask them for one in return. OH WISE MEN....... If it is unclear about what we all want.... The only photos we have of any of your tattoos are fuzzy and very unclear. We would really like a nice shot of the rings my great and mighty wise men. We can start with the rings. Lena says she only wants the blade tattoo. I am the one who asks for too much in asking for the longhorns.
So please OH Mighty Wise Men. Get together and take some pics of the rings for us. The whole world has seen them. We just want to see all five rings. Three times. Bren, we would like you to pose looking cheeky over your shoulder at us. Thank you wise men. Thank you.
By
lala, at 1/05/2005 8:48 PM
Lena says she only wants the blade tattoo.
It's all I ask, Pumpkin... all I ask.
*small voice* For now *small voice*
By
Lena, at 1/05/2005 8:55 PM
Bren, how can you turn down a plee from Lena? It's all she's asking. One simple pic of a little ol' tattoo. I just don't know what to think about that.
*heehee...don't know if guilt will work but it's worth a shot*
By
blairbecky, at 1/05/2005 8:59 PM
"Bren, we would like you to pose looking cheeky over your shoulder at us. Thank you wise men. Thank you."
I just got the image of the infamous Aaron, finger nibbling picture. I think a cheeky over the shoulder picture would be a new fan classic!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 9:16 PM
Hmmm....seems like they're pretty well fed so I'll have to leave something other than cookies and beer.
For Aaron: wax for his surfboard (that's what they use right?) and any other surfing essentials.
For Ian: some Pounce for the kitty and gift certificate for Lowe's, where he can get miscellaneous tools to tinker with cars
For Bren: a glow-in-the-dark ball for Jack, a hand knit scarf to use when he comes back to PA, silverware for the new house (because we all know they've been using plasticware until now)
Oh, and my phone number!
Also, HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY AUNT C!
By
lizook12, at 1/05/2005 9:24 PM
In the words, and oh so nasal whine of Janice, (Chandler Bing's on again off again girlfriend on "Friends")
"OHHH.....MYYYYY......GOD!!!!!!!
Thank you la la and Aunt K. I got my Grey Goose and tonic in hand, ready to check out the "3 Wise Men" thread, when lo and behold, I see the buxom spectacle that is myself. (Superimposed on a terrible photo of me taken after Brendan broke another world record at trials....I was emotionally/physically drained!)
On a side note Michelle, can we have another picture exchange that involves sending in our best photo?
Seriously, what a hoot..and thanks for all the kind words. I have never really dwelled on "40". I have seen my older...much older!!!...sisters age with such grace and style. None of them need walkers yet, and they all have their original teeth.
To give you a perspective on their ages (Mrs. H and Aunt K's)...They used to have to help bathe my younger sister and I. They would fight over who would get me (I was pleasant and cooperative) vs. my year younger sister (who whined and complained). You do the math....sorry Aunt K (June 11th!!!)...paybacks are a "B@#%*"!

Lala and Aunt K, ya'll are too eeevviilll for words, lol. Funny..but evil just the same, ;). Aunt K, your post was hilarious, lol.
As for the gifts....
Aaron: A mirror and set of combs/brushes so he can style his hair any way he wants to, ;).
Ian: A few more beers so he can loosen up just a tad, :). There might be a "wild & crazy guy" just dying to come out of his shell.
Brendan: Some comfortable thongs. The sandals kind people, ;). heheh
-Maria
Lena, my family used to do this years ago when I was younger...I think that I need to start this tradition up again.

I was just about to give up on the relevancy of this blog to my life, and then I had a day where 1) my basement flooded and my swim coach husband is still sunning his tuckus down in Ft. Lauderdale; 2) I was going to guide my Boston Marathoning girlfriend through a track-interval workout, but the icy rain kind of made that impossible; and 3) my curmudgeon of a 6-year-old son, who has been in warp-overdrive with the Pokeman crap, told me that I'm "not the fun parent." But then I read about 3-wise-guy traditions that harken to my own and witnessed the sheer bliss of sisters pimping their own kind, and suddenly, I didn't feel quite so alone. So cheers to you all, and thank you!

Happy Birthday Aunt C!
Aunt K, am so very jealous that you not only get to know Bren's sense of humor, but Aaron's too. (And Michelle, I got a great laugh out of the dolphin chew toy too. Nice.)
I'm not feeling clever. Um, would leave a framed "Just Kidding" poster for Aaron (see: Eddie Reese), a Ladies of BHO limited edition calendar for Brendan, and Bob Dylan for Ian. (Ok, he might protest a little, but I'd be very convincing.)

I had some company come over tonight after I posted earlier...I come back to see a picture of Aunt C that words cannot describe....omg never have I laughed so hard...and C, I have a visual of you with your drink in hand going onto the blog and seeing this...I still cant stop laughing...
Michelle or Lena, here is some info for you...when John L. article ran in the paper last week, there was a picture of Bren almost exactly as lala described in her post. It is Bren's back, view of the rings on the left shoulder, medals on the right and his head is slightly turned looking over right shoulder. Maybe you could ask him for it because I dont think a picture from a newpaper would scan very well...I dont know too much about scanning newpaper pics but if you think it would work, we could probably forward it to you.

Aunt K - shhhhhhh. I have said tattoo pic thanks to John hooking me up with Eric the photographer but was saving it for the weekend. Now there will be much whining, begging and grumbling. :P
Be sure to check back Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 3 amazing photos of Bren y'all.

As usual, a highly entertaining thread! For Wise Men's Day, I think I'm going to leave a bunch of lip balm for the Trio. They're gonna need it when the Ladies of BHO get their way.... Am I right, ladies????
Aunt C, for you, something special, because you are an awesome sport. You put up with us, you're subject to your photos being manipulated, and yet you still leave great posts. So for your birthday, I'm sending you off to a day spa where you can be pampered for the entire day. Go ahead, let someone else worry about all the stuff you normally take care of. Go! Now! People are waiting to take care of you.
And a quick "FIGHT ON!" to all the Trojan fans out there! I'm not one to gloat, but WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

No Good User Names Left, at 1/05/2005 11:04 PM
OMG..Tattoo pic! That is all I can comment! No more words. Aunt K....I think you need to pass the meds. I need something to help me focus on my exams tomorrow and not on thoughts of the tattoo!
By
Kimberly, at 1/05/2005 11:06 PM
S'ok Aunt K, I'll be getting even in June. ;-)
By
Michelle, at 1/05/2005 11:08 PM
Yay! Thank you Aunt K and Michelle and John and Eric the photographer! We can wait, with (minimal) whining :)

Damn! I come here to post what I'd leave for the Trio and find there's a tattoo pic being held hostage?
The things I miss while driving to work.
Anyway, I think I'd leave fudge. If only because my sister and I made four batches for Christmas and there are still two batches left over. I think we're all going to OD on fudge.
Also? I'd just like to take the opportunity to say that LJ is better than blogger if ONLY for the fact that you can use icons. Not that I'm a PhotoShop whore or anything...

Where did my comment go?! Did Blogger eat my comment?
Damn you, Blogger!

*looks at clock* It's only Thursday, early Thursday at that.
Well, at least this gives me enough time to warn the EMTs and prepare my hospital bed.
*checks clock again* Yep, still early Thursday.
Can't wait for the weekend :-D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT C!!! it'll be a great one!
By
Christi, at 1/06/2005 12:22 AM
Jane - I'm sorry you had such a crap day but glad you were able to find some relief here at BHO.
christi - my experience in college was that it was long periods of laziness, partying and daytime tv punctuated by brief stints of no sleep and all night study sessions. But I was an art major so take that for what it's worth. :)
Aunt C - It's official, you are now 40. I have deliberated on whether to make the blog all black for your special day, but frankly it's a lot of work so I decided against it. I hope you have a GREAT day and Aunt K at least takes you out for some liquid courage.

Christi- your bro is right. You will never get any sleep when you're in college. Especially during final week, I tried to get at least 6 good hours of sleep, but I only got a third of it. College isn't always fun as I thought.
What would I leave for those three awesome dudes..... For Aaron, a pass to get free haircut from me :) I don't know a lot about Ian, so I don't any idea what I would leave for him. *sigh* for our dear Brenny...... since winter is started (is it cold in Texas?), I am going to leave him a basket filled with packages of hot chocolate, marshmallow, hershey bars, and boxes of graham cracker. He should invite all of us to his new home and we will roast s'mores there.
Happy Birthday to you Aunt C. You still look fabulous!

Hmm, I can't think of any clever gifts I could give the Trio right now, so I'll contribute to the food supply with some homemade goodies! I love to bake!
Happy Birthday Aunt C! Hope all your wishes come true!

Yay!! A clear pic of the tattoo and an over the shoulder come hither glance. Okay probally not the way it is in my mind but I have to amuse myself somehow right. I have now chosen to adopt the whole darn family and John as well. My mom is just going to have to share me. :P
Happy belated Birthday to you! Happy belated Birthday to you! Happy belated B-day to Aunt C!!! Happpppppy belated B-day to you!!
Trust me,you don't want to actually hear me sing it. Cruel and unusual are two words that come to mind.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AUNT C! I hope everyone is super nice to make up for the manip that shocked the blog! (You're too cute! Janice! hahaha!!)
swimphilly - I have a brown paper bag with your name on it, to help with your breathing. I hope your chair at work is not too far from the ground. I don't want you to get hurt when you fall out of your chair upon seeing the lala's manip of Aunt C today! ;)
Lena - I'll hold on to your sedatives. You will need them once that pic shows up on the blog! *sends you more flowers* hee! I kid because I love!

you know its funny - i can never guess peoples ages...especially women. its hard with ladies that look like Aunt C, Aunt K, Mrs.H who still look and act so youthful.
side note, my mom is turning 50 in June, and its blowing my mind! she comes out with my friends and I to have a few drinks, looks amazing, no wrinkles...people always ask my dad if I'm his wife, and my mom is my sister/friend or his daughter!!! GAG!!!!!
Sad, I'm 26 and I live for the bartenders who card me...not right!
but we girls here are like a fine wine, we get better with age! am I right? can I getta AMEN!?!

swimphilly78, at 1/06/2005 9:45 AM

By

And I got back from work and the Wise Men left a few things in my computer for you...

I'm standing on my desk in my work bullpen (I'm on a trading floor - we sit in a bullpen - literally), pulling a prairie dog (our name for the move where you stand up fast, pop your head out over the TV screens without warning and scare your coworkers) and shouting AMEN all the way from NYC, across the state of New Jersey to PA for swimphilly - for us girl
