Gold Medalist Supports the LRF
Brendan Hansen, swimmer and gold medalist from the Athens 2004 Summer Games has designated the LRF as his charity of choice. On Friday, December 17th, Hansen made a special visit to he University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center so he could spend some quality time with pediatric leukemia patients. Also pictured is swimmer, Kristy Kowal, silver medalist from the 2000 Games in Sydney. The LRF is thankful to Hansen for dedicating his time to help raise awareness about the importance of funding research to find a cure for blood cancer.
Those who'd like to help Brendan support the Leukemia Research Foundation may do so by clicking the link right over there in the sidebar. Brendan is notified of all donations made in his name.

AH! Finally blogger will cooperate and let me comment. Thanks a Ton Blair and Michelle for posting this. Of course we know Bren has a great body and whatnot, but this side of his personality is what really makes me melt. Its so great to see him give his time and he seems to truly care about this charity.
