Brendan on VH1 - 100 Most Wanted Bodies

These people are insane though and have him talking about Mike's body. His own is so much more interesting! (not that anything is wrong with Mikes yo. No hate mail!)

Anyway - Be sure to watch for it. It's scheduled to be rebroadcast frequently.

Tonight at 9 pm for those of us in Central time. West Coasters can catch it at 2 and 10 pm.

    And reports from my West Coast Connection (aka lala) is that Bren, Aaron and Amanda all appear and that Brendan comments on several people, not just Mike. Apparently he thinks Keira Knightley is "smooookin". I hope he get's as much face time in the rest of the series since they aren't giving his body the coverage it so deserves.

  • oh michelle -there is nothin wrong with phelps body...there is nothin wrong with any swimmers body. i've said it before, they are all physical specimens to be admired.

    you guys just happened to be partial to the body that stands on froggy feet, and is topped off with a handsome head of fuzzy curls and big blues eyes...thats all.

  • I can't deny that I love froggy feet, topped off with a handsome head of fuzzy curls and big blues eyes, but I don't mind a gorgeous smile, big brown eyes, and straight hair either..or sandy blonde hair and big green eyes, with some scruff...just sayin' I have lots of swimmy love to go around ;)

    are VH1 and ESPN run by the same people? If so, that would really explain a lot to me and their lack of "awareness"

  • Suprisingly, VH1 and ESPN are run owned by the same people. ESPN is owned by Disney (who also own ABC)and VH1 is owned by Viacom (which owns CBS). Maybe we should start a write in campaign to NBC-Univerisal. I thought I heard that they were supposed to broadcast the Duel in the Pool (I might be delusional though). Maybe they would be willing to broadcast trials and worlds.

    Swimphilly Mike does have a great body, but he's not the only one that can pull off a speedo. Have you seen the pics of Ian "The Scruff" Crocker lately? We have Sarah in the hospital cause of those.

  • Upon careful examination and further review (and boy do I mean careful examination) of the photos from this weekend, I concur that VH-1 is delusional. Bren's *ahem* 'abdominal region' is way hotter than Mike's, therefore, Bren should be on VH-1 with Mike talking about him. While you could wash your clothes on Mike's stomach, he's still skinny and boyish. Bren is a man. (Why do I feel like I should chug a beer after saying that?) Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go ask the IT department if a little drool hurts a keyboard.

    i definitely think more swimmers (aka Brendan, Aaron, Ian, etc., etc.) should have been on that list, and I think lower than #84! (not to bash Michael, 'cause I think he has a great body.)

  • ok, I am going to go with my glass half- full philosophy here. Brendan was pretty entertaining as a narrator, perhaps we should embrace this as a nice opportunity for Brendan to let his non-swimming personality shine through? His body is lovely, don't get me wrong, and should deserve credit on a top 100 list. However... maybe this will give him lots of opportunities? I love those VH1 shows- they are perfect for when you really just want to be entertained without really thinking.

  • for all those angry/sad/disappointed about bren not making the list, remember last night's show was only from "100-81"...so there's still a possibility that he is on the list! which is actually better cause the lower the number, the better the body...and we all know how great of a body our brendan has! hehehe so don't despair ladies!
    and for those who missed the show last night, it's VH1 so they're bound to rerun it...and oh look!they will be! tonight at 9pm(east) for bodies 100-81(Hour 1) and 80-61(Hour 2) will follow that at 10pm(east)...i should still have a blank tape...somewhere...

  • We have Sarah in the hospital cause of those.Hey all posting from the hospital room. It's actuallly kinda nice in here--they have cable so I was able to see Bren on VH1 last nite and tonight. He is just too funny. <3

  • Heather - I gotta agree with you on this. As much as Brendan deserves the honor it's much more interesting for me as a fan to hear his thoughts on other people and I'm just thrilled VH1 is giving him so much airtime. He's been funny, articulate, respectful and entertaining. LOVED what he said about Sharapova tonight.

  • I also think it's exciting how much they are using his commentary. We all knew he was witty and entertaining but now the world does too. I keep asking everyone at work if they've been watching it. If they say yes,I've been asking if they've saw my swimmer man. It's like I'm so proud I have to make sure everyone sees it...lol.

  • I agree that it would be great to have Brendan in the top 100. It is quite a testament to him that they have used so many of his comments for the show. His personality is the reason. I am hoping that one of the times that he talks about abs that his lifts his shirt to demonstrate.
