Brendan's Trials Performance Featured at USA Swimming

2004 Olympic Trials - Brendan Hansen's breaststroke world records
At the 2000 Olympic Trials, Brendan Hansen was heart-wrenchingly close to becoming an Olympian with not just one, but two third-place finishes in the breaststroke races. Disappointed but not defeated, Hansen embarked on a new chapter of his swimming career at the University of Texas with coach Eddie Reese. Over the next four years, Hansen found motivation in his shortfalls from 2000, and had one of the most successful college swimming careers of all time.

  • I forget how impressive Bren's numbers are. When they show how he ranks next to the greats of swimming it reinforces how purely talented and dedicated Bren is.

    Thanks for posting that Michelle. I really enjoyed reading it.

    Pssst...It was alot of numbers...lol. Head hurts now. :P
