Updates and Links

Brief video of Brendan talking about time management at the Mutual of Omaha website.

Esther has contributed a lovely new wallpaper for the gallery. Thanks babe! xoxox

And photographer Peter Bick has given me permission to feature his photos from Worlds 2004 in the gallery. He'll be working in Indianapolis next week, and hopefully we'll see him in Montreal as well.

That's pretty cool that Peter is letting you have the pics,Meesh. He takes such great shots and I'm completely jealous of his talent. ;)

  • Thank you Peter Bick! I have looked at his site several times and I love all of his photos. I actually have it bookmarked. The way he photographs wildlife (swimmers included) is poetry. You should really take time to look at it. Thanks Esther for the new wall paper. It is really great.

So I was wondering how Brendan "gets" before a big race like this. When I have something big coming up I ususally get a little sharp with people (read intense). I know others that get really sensitive or a bit vacuous. Some people get really withdrawn. I hope it isnt the intense one.. A remodel is supposed to add even more stress. Poor interior designer...

A couple of us were talking last night about who would make the team for worlds. And is was funny because Brendan's name never came up because we were only talking about the second spot. (And Brendan is so gunna win those races!) "Who do you think will get that second spot? I don't know.. Moses? Nah I think Usher. What about Marshall?" Does anyone know if more than two per country get to compete at Worlds?

  • Did you all just see Fred Bousquet in the 50 Free Prelims @ NCAAs? 18.74, SCM? My jaw dropped.

  • Not SCM ... SCY ...18.74 ... I mean can you even imagine
Ervin had the old record, 19.05 ...

  • Pretty wallpaper Esther. I wish I had the skills to do that.

Yay for Peter Bick! That's great. He does wonderful work.

lala, that's an interesting thought. You should ask him at the next chat. I'd like to hear the answer to that one, too.

  • Dana,I read about that over on Dave's site. There is alot of amazement over it...lol. I bet he is so pumped right now because of it. Good for him.

It just took me longer to write that than it took for Fred to swim the 50. ;)

  • I saw that too DC. And then he broke 19 again just now in finals! Unbelievable.

In other news, Ryan Lochte broke his own NCAA record in the 200 IM. It's pretty cool that this meet is a week before World Trials, I bet it's going to get everyone all pumped.

  • dana, is Fred the one from Auburn who won the SECs 50 and 100 free? cause my dad got a tape of the SECs for us and I saw a senior from Auburn go insanely fast in both...and he hadn't even shaved! it's probably the same one. wow, that time is just nuts! that's amazing for him. and ryan just seems to be getting better and better everytime he gets in the water.

it's really awesome that Peter is letting you have the pics. I was looking through them, and they are very good.

  • Is someone sure that Fred didn't have a rocket taped to his body? Damn he's fast!

    And Ryan....WOW! 1:41.71

Was there a chat on Wednesday night? I logged on, but then had a couple phone calls and didn't go back and read it? Were there any plans made for Indy?
