Wednesday Night Chat Recap

• Bren is a major procrastinator. He was supposed to be studying "motor control" for an exam but chose to talk to us instead. Yeah we love you too Bren, but if you fail don't blame us. (Well, you can blame Eville Admin, but the rest of us? Totally innocent.)
• Bren is at work on his house. He's hired an interior decorator and "she rocks". She better because I know of at least 40 girls who would have decorated your house for free...
• Bren has a trademark whether he wants it or not. Say it with me people, "smo-hoooooooo-kin'"
• The quote that says the most about Bren's life: "When life gives you lemons make lemonade" (Editor's note - Bren, keep that in mind when reading the rest of the recap. I always tease the ones I love. ;)
• Things not to do for Bren's birthday party this year: hire a clown. He's not a big fan of them.
• Scariest movie he's ever seen? The Ring.
• Wondering how he balances school and swimming and still manages to stay focused? Bren has a pretty good time management system, which apparently includes procrastination being built in. (Editor's note - That sounds a lot like my system, only it's all procrastination, very little management.)
• Gmom stopped in to make sure Bren was "nice to these great ladies." Bren's response to her warm welcome: "ahaha your a hit grandmom"
• Bren doesn't miss the snowy weather at all. He even told his mom that the other day he loves Austin. That's good, especially considering he just bought a house in Austin.
• The funniest and best thing of ASC was "Ben Michaelson fell off the bleacher to look at the Brendan's Texas Legion sign when Mike made a comment." Bren was in the water at the time and choked. Offers of mouth-to-mouth and AED were intstantaneous.
• The weirdest dream Bren's ever had? Falling dreams. (Personally, I don't think he needs to worry about that, he's never been cliffed yet. And it's not likely to happen in the future either.)
• Attention Texas Legion: If Bren is in town, he might be attending the Grand Prix this year at Texas A & M. He might be in Santa Clara though, so don't be disappointed if you don't see him.
• We all know Bren is a rockstar. But he's also such a good person. He agreed to be on atrophy28 and crackinup's relay team for the Dave Denniston lap-a-thon that's happening at Novaquatics in May. Well, that is assuming he can qualify during the time trial. Even Bren wasn't sure he could, since he "heard you guys are good." Good luck, Bren! Practice hard.
• The first thing Bren notices about a girl that makes her *smoohkin*? Good to know that Bren is not superficial. It's "her presence and how she carries herself [he] said that about Keira Knightley because she looks like so much fun to be around."
• Bren loves baseball, and has never met hockey player Jeremy Roenick. (That makes 2 of us.)
• When Bren retires from swimming, he's taking up professional wrestling. His name? "the CHEATAJIMULATOR I fight everyone who cheats." (His outfit as agreed upon by chatters is a cape, purple speedos and a Finding Nemo t-shirt.)
• 2 things Bren wishes he never has to do again: Mow the lawn or go to the dentist. (Psst, Bren, you have a roommate. Make him mow the lawn as part of the rent.) I'm so jealous he never had a cavity or had to wear braces.
• Bren is still in denial about ballroom dancing lessons, although he claims he can "cut a mean rug." Let's go to the videotape on that to verify...oh, wait, we don't have any. One more thing to add to the BHO Visual Wish List.
• The Olympics was the best swimming experience he's ever had. And the second week was the best part of the Olympics, although he's STILL not saying why. Such a tease.
• Some of the girls going to Indianapolis for Trials wanted some guidance for what they should do to support Bren. Instead of offering suggestions, he merely wants to be surprised. Good luck girls. You've got a tough act to follow after Austin.
• Oh and Bren? You still owe Aims an answer. Maybe you should call her...
