  • That's so cool! Thanks for posting it.

    By Blogger Teagan35, at 4/12/2005 9:56 AM

  • Thanks go to Deena for finding it Teagan.

So did anyone watch the Today Show this morning or go down and visit Suzanne? Someone fill me in.

By Blogger Michelle, at 4/12/2005 10:08 AM

  • *mind goes blank*

By Blogger Lena, at 4/12/2005 10:20 AM

  • PML. I love that photo so damn much.

    By Blogger a, at 4/12/2005 10:21 AM

  • As Angie would say..huminah!

By Blogger Kimberly, at 4/12/2005 10:23 AM

  • He's making rings... tattoos...

    *back to the lunacy house*

By Blogger Lena, at 4/12/2005 10:48 AM

  • My first reaction was that I wanted to jump through the hoops. My childlike self comes out to play on that one.

This also makes me want to go to the pool and try to recreate. How exactly do you do that?

By Blogger blairbecky, at 4/12/2005 10:57 AM

  • all i have to say is 'wow'

By Blogger Andrea, at 4/12/2005 11:13 AM

  • Ok, I just realized Phelps is on the Today show tomorrow. Duh Meesh.

Someone tell me about the pageant last night. I didn't watch. I made Pizza and went for a walk instead.

Shannen and JHD need to share their Swim Hottie Pageant plans with us. This is a show I'd actually watch - well frankly I should be a judge. There wouldn't need to be a swimsuit category since that's the default. Instead they'd have formal wear and street clothes as their special wardrobe categories. Can you imagine the talent competition? Lots of bendy boys blowing bubble rings and making clover tongues. The deeeep questions at the end would be the best part though.

By Blogger Michelle, at 4/12/2005 11:32 AM

  • So, who else is going to admit that they are going to try that the next time they get in a pool?

    *rasies hand*

    That is so freakin cool

By Blogger Sarah, at 4/12/2005 11:33 AM

  • Just another talent from Mr. Hansen. Between that and his clover tongue and who knows what else he can do, he would clean up in the talent competition of a beauty pageant.

Michelle, the pageant was eh. I don't really like to watch them. Not good for the self-esteem, but turned out well- Ms. North Carolina won. Woohoo. They didn't talk to Phelps much. Only once after the swimsuit competition (duh). His vest was blindingly shiny. *thumbs down*

Side note: I'm not pleased that they showed the swimsuit competition over the talent competition. wrong wrong wrong
    /rambling

By Blogger afadingvoice, at 4/12/2005 11:50 AM

  • Sarah,as soon as I figure out how to do it I will definitely try. This comes from a girl who still likes to play water basketball with the kids at the Y.

Yes,Michael's vest was very shiny but he got to sit next to Molly Sims and look at beautiful contestants all night. I think he came out the winner in that one.

Ooh,ooh...can I be the person who interviews the swimmers in the swimsuit competition. Even though I doubt I could get much of a question out. I couldn't even look Bren in the eye,let alone ask him a question. Doh!

By Blogger blairbecky, at 4/12/2005 12:01 PM

  • On the pageant front. It is Miss America that has a tallent portion. I think Miss USA has no tallent. Not to say she is untallented but just that her tallents are more.. hidden than Miss America. What I am trying to say is... nevermind.

By Blogger lala, at 4/12/2005 12:27 PM

  • Technically, it was Sarah and I who were discussing the pageant, but we won't leave Shannen out.

As for talent, we have Ian singing/guitar playing, Bren and his hoop making. Wonder what other similar talents they've got they're not sharing with us.

And deep questions are allowed as long as the answer is NEVER "World Peace." Even though we all know it's the SwimLove that brings the world together. =)

By Blogger JHD, at 4/12/2005 12:30 PM

  • Wow, that's such a cool picture! I'm totally gonna try that next time I'm in a pool.

By Blogger Janine, at 4/12/2005 12:44 PM

  • This picture is too funny...has me thinking Bren is spending too much time in the water

By Blogger Aunt K, at 4/12/2005 1:17 PM

  • Michael is on tomorrow (Wednesday) he is in the 9:00 half hour, (ET)

    WOOO HOOOOO

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/12/2005 1:39 PM

  • "This is not a beauty pagent! It is a scholarship program!"

(Props to whomever gets the reference)

I'm totally going to try doing that today at swim practice. My coach will love me!

    By Blogger a, at 4/12/2005 1:46 PM

  • Atrophy-Stop watching Miss Congeniality..haha.

Interesting picture. And don't worry Lala, I got what you were trying to say ;)

By Blogger LongHornLove, at 4/12/2005 1:55 PM

  • deena:
you want to huuuuuuuug me. you want to kiissssssss me. you want to loooooooooove me.
    i love that movie.

    suzanne:
watch for a pretty blonde in the crowd with a "Dear Mike, WE LOVE BREN BETTER" sign done in puffy paint and glitter. ;)

    this pic is awesome.

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/12/2005 1:58 PM

  • i should say 2 pretty blondes. Heather and DC.
(they are quiet because they are working on their signs for tomorrow morning right now)

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/12/2005 2:23 PM

  • Yup, my puffy paint just dried up. Need to run back out to the craft store. DC, has the glitter( and the other tacky crafty devices) right?ha.
SwimPhilly, you better watch out because we could put anything we wanted on a sign and get on national tv.

By Blogger Heather, at 4/12/2005 2:28 PM

  • rut roh.

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/12/2005 2:34 PM

  • Girls..if you make a sign, i PROMISE i will make sure you are on tv. and i will send you the tape. i need a little laugh early in the morning.

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/12/2005 2:42 PM

  • Although it is my life goal to be a tacky crafter/scrapbooker, and wear puff paint tee shirts commemorating my star trek conventions, etc.etc., and sparkly scrunchies with fake hair,

I might have to pass on this one

    A sign

Over my cold and dead body

(and you know it would be cold and dead, because four fifty-year-old sisters from Winnetka, Kansas would stampede and trample us when Al headed our way with the microphone, so they could get throw their "Happy 127th Birthday, Grandma Stinky in Topeka" sign over my dead body, and ensure it appears on network television)

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 4/12/2005 2:51 PM

  • Heather - Do you have the glittery puffy paint? I know you are all about the glitter as I recall! ;) (p.s. I had finagle a bagel on Saturday..yumyumyum! )

Does one of those hoops looks like the male symbol, or is it just me?

By Blogger Stephie Mc, at 4/12/2005 2:56 PM

  • dana i am devastated. brendan will be heartbroken.

suzanne, perhaps you can coax dana into at the very least giving a "Hook 'Em Horns" to the camera?

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/12/2005 3:01 PM

  • JHD, I'd like to volunteer to be the choreographer for the Swim Hottie Pageant. It would be HILARIOUS to see how uncoordinated these guys are out of the water. Plus I'd get to see them practice their walks. :)

By Blogger BeachGirl, at 4/12/2005 3:02 PM

  • too cool dana. I would go really, but, the cold acquired while sitting on the beach, will not allow me to attend. nope. I will sit in my room with a sign, absolutely. brendan doesn't need a sign on tv , he knows he is my fav.

Stephie- I am not as into glitter as Dana is. Ask her about her crafting visions sometime. I am into your finagle a bagel, very jealous.

By Blogger Heather, at 4/12/2005 3:14 PM

  • [Dana can't post right now. She's been flogged with yellow-orange signs from the distant past, made by her crafting hero. She will post when she comes to.]

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 4/12/2005 3:24 PM

  • DC you have been beaten by much this week - bren signs, duck taped sorority oars, etc.

you guys have to go. and you must scream like you are on TRL. We need to represent the BHO - Even at non-BHO events!

dont make me take back the BFF necklaces.

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/12/2005 3:47 PM

  • Scream like they're on TRL? This is how I imagine it to be:

Heather: OMGMICHAELPEHLPSISTHEGREATESTSWIMMEREVER!!!! SHOUT OUT TO MY BHO GIRLS WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO11!!!!

    Dana Cara:

MICHAEL I LOVE YOU!!!11!!11ONE!! YOU'RE THE BEST I WANT TO DEDICATE THIS INTERVIEW TO MY FRIENDS AT BHO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    By Blogger a, at 4/12/2005 3:52 PM

  • SwimPhilly- I was going to present you with Dana's welded necklaces on the Today Show and you ruined the surprise! ! !

Make sure you are watching at 8:30, when Dana has her yellow sign, that she has been working on( she is just shy). This will be of course, while she is wearing a Red Sox hat.

Will anyone seriously be there? ( this is my effort to stay on topic) sorry!

By Blogger Heather, at 4/12/2005 3:58 PM

  • i'll be there. as i have to be there. but usually i do not spend the show sitting as close to the guests as possible....so it will be a bit different tomorrow.

keith urban is performing thursday! maybe we could get michael to stick around and dance a little.

no but will people come? ill come down and have a visit if yes.

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/12/2005 4:16 PM

  • All I know is, signs or no signs, BHO better get some shout-outs! WOOOOOOOO!

By Blogger Michelle, at 4/12/2005 4:34 PM

  • ps. i sent my pictures to the gallery - so be on the lookout for me standing just to the left of michael tomorrow

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/12/2005 4:40 PM

  • Suzanne's pics have been posted in the gallery.

By Blogger Michelle, at 4/12/2005 5:19 PM

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/12/2005 5:23 PM

  • BHO better get a shout out! come on!!!

By Blogger Lena, at 4/12/2005 6:47 PM

  • Blogger loves me today. Thank goodness. I haven't been able to post lately.

That is an awesome picture, Deena. Thanks for putting it up on the site, Michelle.

    That looks so cool.

    By Blogger mk391419, at 4/12/2005 11:04 PM

  • Suzanne it sounds like you have possibly the coolest job ever.
Tell Phelps to give me a call. That picture is awesome too, even though am I the only one who doesn't understand how he's making them?

By Blogger Anna, at 4/12/2005 11:20 PM

  • I am going to be up early tomorrow just to watch BHO get a shout out. Don't disappoint me.

By Blogger Eville Admin, at 4/13/2005 1:09 AM

  • You guys better make a sign, otherwise...

Let's just say I know people. (waggles eyebrows) We'll see if you can ever get a cup of coffee ever again!

    By Blogger a, at 4/13/2005 1:12 AM

  • I am sure Dana is over there- she works right there! There really is no excuse, right? I had to get to work early. I am a bad BHO representer. I'll take a time out today... :(

By Blogger Heather, at 4/13/2005 7:33 AM

  • HEATHER. CORNER. NOW.
    bring your froggie too

Dana informed me last night she was going to go streaking thru Rockerfeller Center - a la Frank the Tank - with only a "BHO" banner wrapped around her.

    suzanne can we confirm this?

    ;)

    By Blogger swimphilly78, at 4/13/2005 7:56 AM

  • yo, the frog is already in the corner. scary scary scary thing. A coworker got me a frog for feng shui? wealth and fortune? It's after me. I have a feeling other people will be after me b/c of my bad representing.

I have NO DOUBT that Dana was streaking the today show.

By Blogger Heather, at 4/13/2005 8:13 AM

  • i am VERY disapointed...i stood outside in the freezing cold looking around for some BHO-ers to pull inside and watch the Phelps interview with me...but alas i saw none and had to stand 3 feet away from him while he talked to Matty boy...

tell brendan to write a book!

By Blogger suzanne, at 4/13/2005 8:48 AM

  • Hey Brendan! Write a book... I can help you with the editing..

By Blogger Lena, at 4/13/2005 10:02 AM

  • Wait, are you saying that you didn't see me streak?

I was the one coated in gold body paint, with my best last-minute replica of the BHO banner crafted of toilet paper and Heather's puffy paint adhering it to myself to keep my hands free to hug MP. I was singing "All Hail the King" and "Brendan is the Champion" with all my passion, as though Freddy Mercury still lived and breathed through me.

    ;)

Alright, maybe I didn't streak. I didn't attempt Shannen's bend-and-snap either. ;) I looked out the windows here at work and I saw the outdoor part of the interview. Very cool.

Suzanne let's get lunch today or tomorrow

By Blogger Dana Cara, at 4/13/2005 10:24 AM

  • Hey everyone, new girl here!I only started coming here since trials and wanted to say hi. This pic made me post, it has to be the coolest thing I have seen.

a game is a game, a 2004 ring is forever:)

By Blogger Heather, at 4/14/2005 10:03 AM

  • Perhaps tomorrow nite John Lohn can write an article regarding the "Friday nite, WWF smackdown" live from manayunk. Heather vs. Lynea. BoSox vs. Yankees. Brendan fan vs. (there has got to be a swimmer who likes the yankees)
We can wear speedos and goggles to make it semi-swimming related.

you are cute though heather. so touching how they have their 2004 ring, isnt it? the yankees ran out of fingers/toes to put all their rings on.

    HUGS AND KISSES!!!! :)

Awesome. Outstanding. I'm selling tickets, pay per view rights, and I will wear my old baseball umpire tee shirt (steeee-rike!!!) so that I can stand on the bar and scream "Let's get it on!!!"

Love being the 5'3" power blonde with liquor-based confidence.

    game on, ladies.
