Australian ladies, U.S. misters to dominate pool
Among Phelps' masculine teammates, Aaron Peirsol and Brendan Hansen are particularly in shape. As the title holder, Olympic champion and world record holder in both 100m and 200m backstroke,Peisol showed his sensational form by smashing his own 100m world record at national trials in post-Olympic year. As for Hansen, whoholds the world records of 100m and 200m breaststroke, world titles of the two events is in his range.Brendan will be swimming in the Texas Senior Circuit Championship meet in Austin this weekend. The 100 Breast is on Friday and the 200 on Sunday but as he leaves for Worlds Sunday he may not make that 200 final.

Poor Dave! I had read about that. It's a shame he had to withdraw. He'll be back though. We need more comedy from that boy.
The photographer was drawn to the speedo. Even though it's not the best speedo site I've ever seen,he has nothing to be ashamed of. ;)
Go,Bren,Go! Have a good time competing at the Senior Circuit. By the way,of course we know Bren and Aaron are in shape. We keep track of these things,ya know...lol.

Awe, I wanted Dave Z to win! Oh well, there are others I can cheer for.
Aussie girls to rule the pool?!? Do they know who Katie Hoff is? What about BHO's favorite swim girlfriend Kaitlin? I do love Libby Lenton though. She was a doll at short course. Anyway, go USA!
Goooooooooooooooooo Brendan! Good luck this weekend, and even more good luck in Montreal.

Hah I love how Aaron and Bren are called "masculine teammates"
Can't wait until this weekend. It'll be nice to have events to watch for again. Isn't Janet Evans this weekend as well? That's two swim events to watch in one weekend! Whee!
And on a completely different note. TEN DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

k i have a dumb question here, um, isnt streaking like, when you run around totally naked? not with a speedo, socks and sneaks? i think frank the tank had socks and sneaks on, but, no speedo.
the french need some lessons on how to properly streak a sporting event.
i will show them in montreal.

swimphilly78, at 7/13/2005 1:17 PM
that streaker looks familiar, is that Ryan Lochte?
By
Anna, at 7/13/2005 1:22 PM
haha oh gosh, good thing I'm not going to montreal ;)

I'm with sarah, that "masculine teammates" bit cracked me up. There are equally priceless sound bytes in the full article. I personally enjoyed "US Misters" and also:
"Hackett is going to stroke the solemn mission to combat against American phenomenon Phelps."
love it.

**NEWSFLASH**
Heather just volunteered to give the lessons in montreal...she mentioned something about having more experience than me. whatever.

SP, don't you think that your debut on "Girls Gone Wild I" and "Girls Gone Wild II", was enough preparation for streaking? Ladies, don't you agree that this would prepare her very well? Plus, you can show off the new BHO 4 eva tattoo that is on your stomach.
good luck!

I just read that article and it is really funny.. As far as translation programs have come, there it still alot of bugs to be worked out.
I have seen guys running in speedo's a lot. Never thought of it as streaking. There is one thing keeping this guy from streaking.. That Speedo!! Some guys call that a uniform.
Streaking at a swimming event is called running to get to the podium in the midst of a deck change and accidently losing the towel. No I didn't actually see this, but I did see alot of towel running.

You guys I have to tell you this story:
I was at Long Beach last year. I was waiting outside the pool area before the final event one evening.
Brendan was suppose to do autographs that night and we just got back from booking out trip from Yankee Travel, which was located right outside the pool area. Mr H was on the phone and I was standing waiting to get in line which I was surprise to see so early in the evening for the swimming that night. Clueless me sees Mr H points over my way at something. I turn and am looking and looking and he is pointing and pointing and I am looking and looking. Finally when he gets off the phone, comes over to me and says, "Could you not see that guy run right in front of you with no clothes on, Miriam?" I am like you are kidding! I truely saw nothing. To this day he does not believe me.

I adore towel running ... I think we can order "BHO 4EVA" temporary tattoos for Montreal. Can any of you sublimely artistic chicks design those for us on art.com?
By
Dana Cara, at 7/13/2005 2:18 PM
And that story is super-cute. Mrs. H, you are a treasure.

Haha Would you believe me swimphilly if I told you I was amish and didn't have a VCR or TV and I'm sneaking onto a computer?

I'm working on tattoo's Dana. Just havent' decided what they should say. You think BHO 4 Eva? What about I <3 Pumkin or Breaststroker 4 life? Non?
Mrs. H - How do you miss a nekkid guy?
By
Michelle, at 7/13/2005 3:29 PM
Mrs.H you have the best experiences at swim meets! Long Beach was very eventful for you. I think I know why it was you did not see this naked man.
Heather, DC, Lynea, if..correction WHEN.. you girls streak in Montreal please make sure you do this in front of opposing teams. They will be to dumbfounded to win any events. I can see the next John Lohn article "streaking atrocity at Montreal leads to USA domination in the pool." Make me proud ladies. Uncle Sam wants *you* to do this. Do it for America. Perhaps this is why worlds is not being broadcast. The FCC did not want another "wardrobe malfunction" at a sporting event.
By
Kimberly, at 7/13/2005 3:43 PM
If the tattoo's say "Breaststroker 4 Life", they should be placed ON the breasts.

I think Kimberly just won post of the week. That last one had me in tears. (the good kind.) And I agree with you about the bizarre absence of Katie and Kaitlin in this article. Though I'm glad to see that other countries recognize the masculinity of our U.S. boys.
What I want to know is who developed translation software that incorporated the word, "wunderkind"?
Mrs. H, rest assured, you're not the only one who misses "critical" events that happen 2 feet away. But if any wardrobe malfunctions take place in Montreal, I think it's fair to say that you'll probably hear a BHO blogger shout something like, "Naked guy, 8 o'clock!" ;-)
By
crackinup, at 7/13/2005 5:13 PM
Mrs. H that story made my day.
Here is a piece of advice for all you girls going to Montreal...you want to be at the right place at the right time stick with Mrs. H! (although you may have to inform her of what fun event she is missing)

jenny, at 7/13/2005 10:16 PM

Or you will hear Lala snapping pictures of rings with her camera. Either way, you won't miss it.
By
Kimberly, at 7/13/2005 11:07 PM
If you listen you can hear the rings..... and the jingling of streakers...
By
lala, at 7/14/2005 2:21 AM
Mrs. H. Very funny story... I'm sure the girls would point you in the riggh direction in Montreal.
Michelle, if you're gonna make temporary tattoos, then send one <3 Pumpkin my way would you?
