I know many of you are very excited for this game tomorrow so I thought I'd give you a thread to discuss it in. Trojans or Longhorns y'all?

  • Argh. I'm torn. I live in Southern CA, so--USC. But, I love our Texas boys so--Texas. USC is what? 34 games undefeated? It'd be nice to see them go for 35. But, it would also be great to be the team to finally beat them--especially at this particualar game. I'm leaning towards cheering for Texas. My husband will be cheering for USC. That'll make for a fun night.

  • All I gotta say is Longhorns, Longhorns, Longhorns!!

    I usually cheer on the Horns anyways, but it helps they are playing USC. I cheer for anyone that plays against USC :]

    I am 22 today. Not exactly a landmark birthday but still exciting.

    What would make a great birthday present is for my longhorns to beat USC tomorrow. I am so excited. #25 Jamaal charles is from pt.arthur which is about 5 minutes from my hometown so i hope he does well tomorrow.

    Thanks again for the birthday wishes. I am off to celebrate.

    That's interesting though that USC has the same shirts of fug that they had this summer...i could ALMOST understand one of the teams having them...but 2 different teams wearing the same shirts of ugliness? unbelievable.

  • Hey y'all! Haven't posted in a while but just wanted to wish every a happy 'late' holiday season and a happy and safe new year and 2006!

    Happy birthday to all the ladies! Hope you have a special day! Enjoy it :)

    Tomorrows game is going to be close. From a strict football analysis point of view, USC will be facing its hardest challenge this season as far as a defensive team.. they've had it easy so far. Texas on the other hand will be facing a very strong offensive team but that being said, Texas hasnt had a championship since 1970.. 36 years.. so I think these boys are ready as well as MacBrown and we all know it is WELL OVER DUE! Both teams are going to show up and it's going to be a close and exciting game! Enjoy the game y'all!

    ...and seriously.. we all know vince young is the REAL heisman throphy winner :-P

  • oh my gosh..i sure did get my birthday wish.
    That was probably the best game i have seen. The teams were so evenly matched. We just went back and forth. My family and i were freaking out.
    Vince is incredible. The guy is the whole package. I do have to say though that I was gettin worried when we were down 12 with about 5min to go. All in a days work for #10. (oh and my roomate is in Austin now..im still at my parents..and there were thousands of people on campus right after the game ended and police were trying to block off the campus so no one could drive in. she said the city is going crazy.)

    I know you are way psyched Gina.

  • Fabulous game. All of Vince's body language was screaming, "hey, who should've won the Heismann now, eh? REGGIE! PASS ME A LATERAL!" Haaa. Think that might be grounds to go with Vince over Leinart in the draft, delivering huge on the biggest stage in college football? My, my, look at all these Texas boys delivering huge when it matters. Olympics, Rose Bowl, whatevah.

    I'm bummed that we need to wait another eight months for more college football. Baseball just doesn't have that same panache. This is the time of year when ESPN-U (college) starts playing Pac 10 bowling tournaments and all that.
