Trip Around the World - Pick Your Cities

A fun game I found on another site.

You've been given a gift - a trip around the world. However, you can only visit one city/town on each continent. You can do day-trips outside that city, but you have to return to your hotel in the city each night. So, pick your cities:

N. America:

S. America:

Australia:

Europe:

Asia:

Africa:

My Picks -

N. America: Vancouver

S. America: Buenos Aires (get a guest bed ready Lena!)

Australia: Sydney

Europe: Such a tough call but I gotta go with London simply because I could do day trips to Paris and Edinborough from there so it's like 3 for 1 (Rome, Barcelona and Paris being my back-ups. We should really get to choose more than one European city. Unfair.)

Asia: Bombay

Africa: Capetown

10 Comments:

  • N. America: Hmm...Montreal?

    S. America: Lima

    Australia: Sydney

    Europe: Rome

    Asia: Tokoyo

    Africa: Cairo

Tough Choices...and what about Antarctia? because we all want to be like Peter =)

  • N. America:Long Beach ;)

    S. America:Rio de Janeiro (Party!!)

    Australia:Sydney(I'll meet you there Meesh.)

    Europe:Madrid

    Asia:Beijing

    Africa:Alexandria,Egypt (I've heard it's beautiful.)

I want more time in Europe though. That was a hard choice.

  • Oh man, this is gonna be tough for me-I've got a list a mile long of countries/places I wanna visit in my life. But I'll give it a shot!

    N. America: The Grand Canyon

    S. America: Costa Rica

    Australia: Sydney

    Europe: Italy

Asia: The Great Wall Of China

    Africa: Egypt and the pyramids

  • Let's see:

    N. America: New York City

    S. America: Rio de Janeiro (party is right!)

    Australia: Sydney

Europe: Yeah, we should get more than one pick for this one. However, I'd have to say Rome, too. Has anyone here read Angels & Demons by Dan Brown? It takes place there, so I'd want to go see all of the places mentioned (it's an awesome book!)

Asia: Beijing!!! (or maybe Kashmir. India would be a really cool place to see)

Africa: I'll go with Alexandria, too. We learned about it in school, & it sounds like a neat place.

That's a tricky game...I need more choices! This is a hard game for someone who wants to see the world (like myself)

  • N.America: Alberta

S.America: Rio de Janeiro...second and third are Mexico City and Lima

Australia: Sydney..second and third are Melbourne and Perth

Europe: (this one is impossible) but if i had to pick
Berlin..but i would love to see Madrid, Rome, Paris, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Amsterdam..the list goes on

Asia: Tokyo..close second is Hong Kong

    Africa: Johannesburg

  • N. America: Alaska any city, really north America

    S. America: Galapagos Islands, Terra del Fuego and Buenos Aires would be close seconds.

    Australia: Sydney

Europe: Been to a lot of it but not enough of Italy so Venice would be my choice.

    Asia: Beijing

    Africa: Madagascar...incredible wildlife

    Antarctica...soon.

  • Peter, you'd love Alaska -- so much beautiful nature (and moose! right off the highway!) to photograph. But the best stuff of course is outside the cities, not in them. ;-)

    N. America: Cancun. I've been enough places on this continent that I can be shallow about that choice.

    S. America: Buenos Aires, but Rio is a close second.

    Australia: Sydney

Europe: Berlin, Prague, or Dublin because I haven't yet been, but London will probably always be my favorite.

Asia: Beijing, or maybe Hong Kong

Africa: I've been told Zanzibar is one of the most spectacular places to visit, but "city"-wise I'm leaning toward Capetown.

  • I have guest beds for all of you.

    N. America: New York, I guess. I was going with New Orleans, but New York appeals me more.

    S. America: La Paz, Bolivia

    Australia: Sidney

Europe: Amsterdam, no question. Day trips to Belgium, Prague (by plain) and Paris are a done deal.

    Asia: Beijing

    Africa: El Cairo

  • N. America: Umm... Cheyenne, Wyoming or Cabo San Lucas - why? No one chooses to go to Wyoming, I kinda forgot it existed. Wouldn't that be cool to just go and stay there on a ranch for a week? Okay, so it looked like fun on the Amazing Race :) And Cabo - duh! BEAUTIFUL!

    S. America: Rio de Janeiro - I hear it's beautiful as well

    Australia: Melbourne

Europe: Venice, Italy or Athens, Greece (I took 3 years of Latin and it is SO fascinating... I swear!) - Oh yea, and home of 2004 Olympics.

    Asia: Jakarta, Indonesia

    Africa: Cairo, Egypt - pyramids

I concur; this is all so tough. OK. So, I didn't stick to the ONE city/town rule, but I've been so sheltered and have barely gotten past the border of Mexico - haha, from US into Mexico, not the other way :)
... some day my dream will come true... someday

by the way, this Brendan is quite the stud :)

  • N. America: New York City however, I've been there so many times, that Vegas would be a close second

    S. America: Rio for the setting. By the mountains and right on the beach

Australia: Perth. I've been to the East coast of Oz and seen the sun rise, so I wanna go to Perth to see the sunset!

Europe: A tough one as I don't really travel much round Europe even thou I'm from London, maybe Barcelona

Asia: Colombo, Sri Lanka. My dad is from Colombo and I've been a few times. Very nice place

Africa: Mmmmm ... Madagascar looks beautiful
