I want it! Give it to me!

Lala's been hanging with Holly and David and a variety of marsupials in Brisbane for the past few days and heads to Melbourne tomorrow. Such a cute little koala! She told me his name but I've totally forgotten.
Tara Kirk has a really sweet Blog post about Brendan up on WCSN...
This is somewhat ironic coming after the veteran blog a few days ago but whatever. Today I had a totally awesome workout. I did some great work on the watch and was really happy with my times. But the ultimate highlight came during my dive 25s. I finished one of them and surfaced to get my time, which was pretty decent. But just then, a few lanes over, Brendan pops his head up and says "Tara, your line looks really great." OK, so I held a world record for a few years, hold a handful of American records, and have won a few international gold medals so I know a few things about swimming breaststroke fast. But I was still definitely thrilled by the comment. I mean, he is the fastest breaststroker in the world - ever. And he was complimenting my stroke! Awesome. I should definitely be more cool about this but whatever. I guess it just shows how much a few kind words can brighten someone's day. Thanks Brendan!

What a beautiful picture Lala, :). Sooo wish that I could be there.
Tara's blog was really cute, how nice to get props from the B-man himself.
I enjoyed the article on Crocker as well, I so hope that he breaks a record, or two, at this meet. Absolutely nothing against the Phelpster but I think Crocker is due his limelight now, :D.

hey yall
Figured with everyone giving you guys updates with there blog I figure i would update you guys. We will be heading to the comp pool tom. and I am ready for this meet to start. Damn.
The weather has been great during the training camp and its so freakin nice to swim outside. But there isnt much for us to do during the day, if I play one more game of cards or watch another dvd I may go nuts.
Atleast the team gets along really well and team room conversation get pretty funny. I have been trying to get as much rest as possible leading up to the meet because an eight day meet can take a lot out of you.
i am not sure that those were my quotes cause it doesnt seem like me at all. But I have been misquoted in the past and I promise it wont be the last time.
Well its getting to be that time. Should be a fun one.
p.s. I have been taking pictures so I will be sure to dload them when I get back some idiot forgot the cord for the computer hmmmmm i wonder...

Thanks everyone! That koala's name is kaka'chu and he almost kaka'd all over me. I really do want one. But he made me miss my kitty.
I had a fantastic time with Holly and her very smart and fun husband David. It was sad to leave Brisbane as it will always represent my first days of Australia.
Tomorrow as Brendan leaves Geelong I will be going there, and then up the coast for a 5 hour (each way) drive with a couple of friends. I am so looking forward to it. If I have to use swim meets as an excuse to see the world and meet amazing new people, then I have to thank God for swim meets. Tomorrow I will be we taking the Great Ocean Road. A place I never dreamed I would see. Then in couple of days I get to see Brendan kick some ass. That's what I call a vacation!
Bren, Thanks for keeping us posted on your experience here. I am getting antsy too! Let me know if you wanna learn mexican train dominoes. That's fun and good for a group. I brought my camera cable, you may borrow it from me if you wanna. Thanks for keeping us posted on your experience here in Oz.
