Some REAL swimmin' going on at USC....
USC football coach Pete Carroll raced Will Ferrell yesterday at the 27th annual "Swim with Mike" which benefits the USC Scholarship fund for Physically Challenged Athletes.
Will looked like a sure thing for the win on the blocks with his tiny blue speedo and perfect physical form, however going with the butterfly stroke on the last lap probably wasn't the best choice and ultimately cost him the victory. Of his loss he said - "I'm extremely disappointed in my performance today. I've trained almost all my life for this moment - I just came up a little bit short."
There's no shame in Silver Will (unless it's a two man race), and despite the loss you're still a winner for rockin' that speedo.
Some amateur video of the event posted on You Tube. Looks like Will could teach Brendan and Ian a few things about Breaststroke and Fly.

Anyhoo, the Will Ferrell thing was all over the LA news this weekend. I laughed out loud because one of the stations broadcast the whole story without saying what the name of the event was. Oops. On the flip side (no pun intended), Swim With Mike didn't promote either of these guys as participating until after the event was over. Um. Ok.

ok, the log in issues seem to be an issue for people who haven't registered a google account yet. You can do that at the blogger site. (www.blogger.com)
When you go to log in it will prompt you to start a new google account and from then on you'll log in with your email address as your username and whatever password you give it.

HAHAHA!! I love Will Ferrel...I was totally rooting for him. And I liked how he swam the fly, breast, and free all in the same leg. You're right, Michelle, Will rocked that speedo, and that giant afro.

Oh man, I hope not! He would tease it too much. I have not seen the ice skating movie yet but I am thinking I would not like it if he went after swimming next.
