Some Weekend Links
Speedo Grand Challenge this weekend
Athletes scheduled to swim include Amanda Beard, Jessica Hardy and Tara Kirk. I can't wait to see the Breaststroke results. I think lala is going - maybe she'll post some photos for us.

Well I am getting ready to leave the Speedo Grand Challenge. They have wireless! WOOT!! I saw Amanda Beard and Tara Kirk swim. No Jessica though. The Brits are here again. And.....I saw a lone Longhorn. Dale Rogers is here. I didn't realize that it was him until he was done swimming but I will make sure I holler for him tomorrow. I felt bad for him that there was no Brendan swimming with him. I was wondering if he was by himself or if maybe a teammate or family memeber came to support him. I hope so. I am going to attempt the holiday traffic now... Not looking forward to it at all! Everyone have a great weekend!

I guess I could look for myself, but anyone know if there is "live" timing for the grand challenge? I'd love to see what kind of times Beard produces.

The live timing isn't working, but if you would like to see Amanda's race go to DeckChange.com and download the very crappy video that I made.
The times for the 200 IM:
Julia Smit 2:15.01
Elaine Breeden 2:18.75
Amanda Beard 2:20.16
Alyssa Anderson 2:20.34

I really wish I could be there! But, this house we bought and the kids baseball games are taking up all of our time right now. Thanks for reporting, lala! Have a great weekend poolside!

I know it is supper early, but does anyone know what the Olympic trial order of events will be? The reason I ask is because the person I'm going with does not want to go for the whole time only 5 days. So I want to try to hit the events that I really want to see: 100 fly; 400 IM 100 or 200 breast 200 back and a relay. Thanks for the help.

Pepe is leaving us too! First was Ian, then comes Pepe... I don't know how much more my poor heart can take.
sorry I've been MIA but it was qualifying season to get to the PanAmerican Games and we had a lot of work to do.
Who's going to Beijing so far?

Glad you got your stuff Stone Cold. I WISH I were going to be in Austin this weekend. I've been craving a stuffed avocado from Trudy's since the last time I left. That pool look s amazing!
Glad to see you back Lena! You need to post more.
Lala has photos up from the Speedo Grand Prix on www.deckchange.com. Y'all should check them out.

The link to that old pool was very cool. We didn't have cool old places like that where I grew up.
I was felling a little blue coming off of the Michigan meet, but going to Irivne brought all the happy swim meet stuff back. I just prefer the outdoor meets I guess.
The weather is gorgeous here and I am going to the laundromat at the beach to get some washing done. No more clients today so I am going to get some work/fun in.
