Summer Vacations....

I think most of us are now officially out of school for the summer (or have kids/clients/neighbors who are out of school) and I've heard some of you have pretty cool plans for the summer. Erin just left for Spain, Brendan went to Argentina, Tim is going to Wolverine Swim Camp, the H's went to Jamaica, and the list goes on. I'd love to hear what everyone has going on this summer.

Aaron Peirsol went to Austria to visit his backstroke buddy Markus Rogan for summer vacation and did a little modeling while there...

Trevor Rains and Richie Rich -- the New York designer duo known as Heatherette -- designed the costumes for this year's extravagant fashion show, which will take place on a giant red-ribbon shaped catwalk, half of which will consist of an ice-skating rink, in front of Vienna's City Hall.

Grammy-award winning singer Mya, actor Adam Brody from the TV series "The O.C," French football star Christian Karembeu and his model wife Adriana, Lance Bass and JC Chasez of former boy band N'Sync, porn star Jenna Jameson and New York's number one transsexual Amanda Lepore will be among the celebrities modelling the flamboyant outfits.

    Hope you're all having good summer vacations. Mine will consist of job hunting and apartment hunting and all that goes with getting into the real world.

  • Hey Michelle I was just over at Mrphelps.com and Suz has a message on the site that she is pursuing a paying job and she might put the site on indefinate hiatus if no one else offers news, pictures, updates ect. With that said, please tell me that BHO is not planning to go anywhere soon because I have loved this site for news, pictures and brendan updates. Thanks

  • Jessie - good luck with the job hunt! I'll be doing that in the fall I think.

    I've got no plans to shut down BHO before Brendan retires Anna.

    Katie - I can't help you. You'll have to email the admins at Olympic Gods.

    Jaclyn - I have nothing against the long underwear with combat boots (reminds me of my grunge days), but the crown and cape are just a bit much.

  • I wonder if Aaron knew what he was in for when he was asked to be in a fashion show. You have to have pretty good sense of humor to wear that stuff. I love how they gave Aaron the bigger crown. He is the still "Backstroke King" after all. Looks like it was a pretty great time.

    As for me no summer plans. The only thing I have on my calendar is spending a couple summer evenings at the meets that are close by and Santa Clara. Doing a little road trip up the coast. Too bad I don't have a ton of money to go see Michelle in Italy. I would do it in a minute!

    My summer plans aren't too spectacular either. I'm mostly hanging around the house with friends...and working. Other than that, I've got a trip to Florida planned in July to visit some family. Should be fun none-the-less. :)

  • I dig what they are wearing. The belt Aaron is wearing is sassy. love it...and the crown is hilarious.

    Summer plans for me include working and planning a summer art camp for kids where i work...100 kids 6-13 in age. should get interesting. then nationals.

    hope everyone who went through last tests and finals survived relatively unharmed. =)

  • Those outfits are certainly interesting!

    This summer will bring a rather big change for me. I'll be leaving my current job and moving up to Ann Arbor this fall to start graduate school at UMich which i'm uber excited about it. A definite change for me, but it'll be nice.

  • I love Aaron's outfit. I found links to all sorts of fab pics of Aaron and Markus over at APO. They're great.

    As for summer, I just got my first real full time job, designing ads for a local newspaper, and I'm going to be spending the first week-and-a-half of July in Ireland. :)

  • Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I finally finished all of my Namesnik G.P. shots. Some are in the gallery here and I have put up a page on my site.

    Also, I have put up a page of historical shots from the IU natatorium from major events starting with the '92 Trials. The images are celebrate the 25th anniversay of the Nat this year. This page has a password 'Nat' and is quite large. It will only be up a couple of months.

    Say WHAT!!!???? I hope he packed a lot of clothes because we're having the coldest winter in history, practically.

    I'm in the oposite situation as all of you. We're in the middle of the year and it's been hectic as my fiancé is at the final stage of the PanAmerican tryouts for Archery. Let's hope he makes it into the final 3 that get to travel... although he might be spending an entire week with garotas in Rio de Janeiro!!! but hey, it's all for the sport.

    I have to give kudos to Aaron, I think he kind of pulled that outfit, just my humble opinion.

  • The boys look awesome in these pictures. They sure have a future in modeling if this "swim thing" doesn't work out for them, lol.

    As for our summer plans, we will be in Ohio for several days in June and in Florida for a week in July. We couldn't book our vacation out of the country this year as the kid's passports didn't come in on time. Always next year, :).
