It was so exciting to see Brendan earn his spot on the Olympic team. The crowd here in Omaha adore him. So much support. He is what every athlete in this sport should strive to be. I spoke to a woman who does a lot of timing at meets and she said that Brendan thanks all the timers and really makes them feel appreciated. He does the same for the spectators too. Always saying how much they help him. I was so happy to be here in Omaha to witness Brendan become a "two time Olympian!"
ps. The Team Hansen cheering section is also something to behold!
