The famous swimmer Brendan Hansen has set several records and has many achievements to his credit. Apart from winning international medals, he has many honors and records too. Brendan held the world record in 200 meter breaststroke which he set at Pan Pacific Championship in 2006. Also, he held the world record in 100 meter breaststroke that was set at ConocoPhillips National Championship in 2006.
2004 Olympic Games was one of the career highs for Brendan as he set a world record in 400 meter medley relay. He has set records in 100 meter and 200 meter breaststrokes and even 400 meter medley relay. Apart from records, he even has several honors to his credit.
During his career with the NCAA Championships, he went on to win all breaststroke events and is the only one to do so. Brendan broke three world records in 2006 and was voted Athlete of the Year by USA Swimming. He has been a three-time National A team member (2001-03) and also an All-Star team member (2002-03).
Brendan is the American record holder in 200 meter breaststroke and has also been the World Team Captain in 2007. Apart from these, he has also been a part of the National B team (2000) and the National Junior team (1998) in his younger years and set several records. He is a four-time high school state champion in 100y breaststroke (1997-00) and also a high school state record-holder in 100y breaststroke.
